To this day I still do not get why people find the Knights of Ni funny. Worse still are people who keep quoting it - the Simpsons really shined in exploring that. Don't get me started on the French soldiers part either.

All in all, a very average movie.

It's a series of loosely connected sketches with a very weak ending; I still find it funny, but it's nowhere near as good as Life of Brian, which had much more of a plot, was more satirical, and overall just better executed.

great movie! still stands too. Absurdist humour .. you either like it or you don't .. there is usually not much middle ground.

I totally agree. LoB is a much better and funnier film.

Evil Dead is the only good film in the trilogy. Army of Darkness is just mediocre for me, but Evil Dead 2 is a cinematic turd.

Oh and Holy Grail is one of the most resoundingly unfunny experiences I've ever had.

I was bored with Evil Dead... I guess I didn't 'get it.' Whereas the first half of AoD was an absolute, albiet slapstick, riot.

Holy Grail was just soo dumb-slapstick funny. But the second time I watched it I was only smiling. And I'm kind of scared to watch it again...

It's no fun to watch Holy Grail by yourself, you have to watch it with someone else and quote and laugh, otherwise, it's just not as enjoyable as it used to be... at least, that's how it was with me.

Army of Darkness just wasn't funny, it may not have been as bad as Bloodsuckers From Outer Space, but it wasn't as enjoyable as friends made it out to be...

Les'see...the most unfunny popular comedy I've ever sat through would have to be...The Jerk. I was amused a couple times, but I didn't laugh once.

You sir, have no soul.

Clearly, the most unfunny popular comedy would have to be either Meet the Parents/Meet the Fockers or Analyze This/Analyze That.

I still laugh so hard at The Jerk I'm afraid I'm gonna start peeing blood.

Thirded. ED2 is clearly the best in the series. The original wasn't as funny as it is on purpose.

The Jerk also might have to funniest opening line of any movie I have ever seen.

"I was born a poor, black child."

Personally I like Hot Fuzz a hell of a lot more than Shawn of the Dead. Especially when you consider that the movie it's supposed to be lampooning was itself a pretty damn wry movie. (Dawn of the Dead, another unbelievable sequel.)
