These songs have a certain permenant place in my heart and memory, much becuase of her. Here's what I can remember of the lineup, most released in '03:
- Hoobastank's "The Reason"
- Fred Durst's remake, "Behind Blue Eyes"
- All American Rejects' "Swing Swing"
- Matchbox 20's "Bright Lights"
- Linkin Park's "Numb"
- Evanescence's "My Immortal"
- Revis' "Caught in the Rain"
Of all the band breakups throughout my time, Revis is in my ears, by far the one with the most potential never realized. There debut album Pieces of Breathing was a resonant, heart-felt and poetic, post-grunge release that featured four really good songs: the previously mentioned hit, Caught in the Rain, along with Seven, Your Wall, and Spin. Their music always touches me in a very deep place. I saw them live and I was so amazed with the lead's live vocals and...the way he sings, the emotion and passion...as if he's singing to someone in front of him.
Just thought I'd share...some music.
