Very good news Lord Danlo. :)
And with two computer geniuses like Vain and High Lord Jay working on it, I am sure everything will be great. :D

Fall? FALL?! that's too long! clearly I'm going to need to start plans on my time machine now so that when the first book comes out It'll be complete and I'll be able to go back to now and deliver myself the book. Which I am impatient for. Hmmm...maybe reading about Lord Foul's time traveling powers will help in the process...

Wow !!

I'll happily provide a permanenent home for the elohimfest video, but one of you guys with a fast link will need to upload it :) Speak to me when the time is right :)

I'll let Jay do the negotiating as I'm just the techie around here and will be quite happy to provide any technical input to any project that SRD wants to get off the ground - but I somehow think that he may well leave that to some "made for purpose" design house - even though our collective input will be supplied at no cost I am sure ;)

I think total kudos to danlo for stepping up to the plate and delivering - as well as everybody else that makes this place the biggest and the best place for SRD fans across the planet. If we can end up being an official resource then that'd be awesome but I would like to see us become an integral part of kevinswatch.com - something I'll need to discuss with jay to make it happen.

Of course I may need to up the current hosting plan to something a bit more beefy to handle the extra load but that's not a problem.

Wow. That's all so very cool. Just think, we'll be able to read the Third Chronicles next year. Awesome.

And just think of all of the new SRD online fans the new series will generate. Wow. 8O

But yeah, it would be cool if Kevin's Watch could become the official SRD/Thomas Covenant message board. We've already established ourselves well enough as a graet community. If not, then I'd still be happy as a cool Unofficial online community. :D -jay

Fantastic news...

I do have broadband connection, but I am a few thousand miles from the Elohimfest, so... but if you send it to me on CD..:-)

Me started dreaming... if we could get this new publisher to republish the whole saga to have a consistent Chronicles... and maybe if they assigned a talented artist to have some illustrations... I think TCTC deserves John Howe/AlanLee-level graphics.

Yvla, go read the last few post in the Elohimfest thread. It has been discussed there the idea of taping SRD's reading and discussion with Watch members. Then having that video available thru the Watch for download. :) Live streaming and web cam would be too difficult to do from the place where the event will be held. Check out the thread...all the great info is there :)

Despite being begged to attend as a guest speaker at this quaint gathering, I, of course, cannot fit into any meeting hall ever built. But, for all practical purposes, there is no limit to the size of the widescreen TV that can be built on my being. The Ranyhyn and Ramen will, I am quite sure, be enthralled watching the video.

Since when did the Plains of Ra themselves talk? Now, I know the Earthpower spoke to Berek, but wasn't that just One Rock? Not an entire region of the Land. There is something rather "odd" going on here... ;) :D

I have never really had the desire to express myself in this fleeting way before. The One Forest, Andelain, and I, in our way, used to debate the idea of communicating more directly with the short-livers. The One Forest, of course, eventually used more immediate manifestations of itself to speak. I have just recently decided to give it a go in this manner. (Andelain has yet to be heard in any way.) I must say, there is a certain thrill to this form of communication!! I'm glad I tried it!

And it is an honor to see you again, glorious Plains of Ra. *bows deeply* The One Forest loved its siblings dearly, and is pleased that you two will be able to, in your way, communicate again.
One wide forest of sentience and passion filled all the region - one mind and heart alive in every leaf and bough of every tree among the many myriad throngs and glory of the woods.Image
