From the writer of Juno comes...
Jennifer's Body is brought to us by the writer of the fantastic film, Juno. Despite staring miss thing, Megan Fox, it looks pretty...decent... and fun. I'm actually looking forward to it - Fox does seem to 'get' her roles despite her limited acting skills.

Hmm, a movie where Megan Fox has to look enticing and kill people... not really much need for acting skills there, is there? Even so, I'd like to see it
But not this weekend... I'll probably catch 9 instead.

Pretty much the only movie reviews I read are the ones Nick Mamatas does on his blog irregularly, which are full of snark and humour, and have no regard for anyone who dislikes spoilers. Anyway, for this film he ended with:
Consider me swayed.
Spoileriffic link: nihilistic-kid.livejournal.com/1379846.htmlNow don't get me wrong. This isn't a great movie; it's by the numbers in lots of ways. It's just the numbers from that alternative Earth where women in horror movies are something other than paper dolls to be torn apart. The usual September horror fare is cynically made, hardly written at all, lazily directed, and stupidly laid out across the screen. Jennifer's Body was made with enthusiasm, written with verve, cleverly directed, and presented to the audience as a freak flag to see who salutes.
Consider me swayed.

Just watched it last night. Some brilliance and fun, soo campy at times, the script/plot definately needs some work, but overall I agree with Ebert.

I finally got around to watching this, and was pleasantly surprised. Although the first hour was a little slow, the ending more than made up for it.
Much better than certain other teenage vampire movies that have been popular lately.
