Absolutely fantastic stuff. Glad a friend recommended these guys to me.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. Thanks for passing this along to me Menolly.
I raelly hope these guys get a whole album together. This single is amazing.
And he's a big guy with a beard, so he's A+ in my book.
It's going to take me a long effing time trying to memorize these lyrics, though. Even reading them along with the song, I still can't keep up. haha.

Yooooooo!
It’ a new world advanced technology
Everybody got access, can you feel the energy
Satellites and televisions, straight up infinity
Look at all the changes man, can you see the prophecy
אם אשכחך ירושלים תשכח ימיני

אנחנו חיים בעולם כל-כך אכזרי
(Anachnu chaim ba’olam kol kach achzari)
It’s the real deal, black & white, BOOM! In your face
Do the One Two step, and slow down the pace aye,
Describe!!! With the lyrical vibe
Wake up and smell the napalm cuz the world is alive
We’re far from perfect, yeah I know, but we’re movin’ too slow
So I’m rappin’ bout a change, feel the beat, let’s go!
All I wanna do is change a little bit of you
By making music that can spread out some light, Ooo Ooo
It’s real dark , we just need to light a spark,
And the fire will just blaze up, d’ blaze up the night!

Yaaaaooooooooooo!!!!
While we livin’ in a reality that’s physical
I gotta look and internally to reveal the spiritual, man
Make ya hands go (clap), bring it back now
Feel ya heart go (bump bump) , and ya soul goes….y oooo!
The digital reality, the soul into technology
The unity the policy to bring that new theology
Now clap for me, now bring it down for me
Come on clap for me, now bring it back for me
Yo! Don’t go political with all the individual
Divisions that be splittin’, don’t be trippin’,that be infantile
ya hands go (clap), bring it back now
Feel ya heart go (bump bump) and your souls goes…Jyaaaaaa!!!
Yo I can’t help but be political, and keep it individual
But when we on the spiritual, yo one is indivisible,
Now clap for me, now bring it down for me
Now just clap for me!

The Chosen Few…yeah yeah yeah…The Chosen Few!
Y-Love go beyond the norm, my eyes directed towards Tziyon (Zion)
We on, be on!
Describe with the lyrical vibe, we give power to the people
Spreadin’ light, Da power’s on!
Y-Love, the Modular, the function, we risin’
With gumption, I gotta say something I’m runnin’!

As soon as you asked if I knew of Matisyahu I knew I had to introduce these two to you.
You have to admit, the song is quite uplifting for the psalm it is based upon. In case any non-Hebrew speaking Watchers were wondering, the chorus is from Psalm 137:5-6 which pretty much translates to:
If I forget you
O Jerusalem
let my right hand wither
Let my tongue stick to my palate
if I cease to think of you
if I do not keep Jerusalem in memory
even at my happiest hour.
But I guess it could be interpreted as keeping our roots in our thoughts at all times.

Did you watch the documentary clip about DeScribe, Y-Love and Diwon I sent?

I grabbed that one Sea. On first listen, I like it, but not on the Life in Slow Motion level.
Just picked up three Joss Stone albums from the library, after hearing her on Regis and Kelly last week.

I must admit, I don't think it's a brilliant album (although sometimes it takes me a few listens). I like "First Chance" and "Full Steam". But I dunno. White Ladder is a brilliant album (Sail Away is one of my all time favorite songs). And I did like Life in Slow Motion (very moody!). I just think there's something missing in this album.

When I heard the first track I thought "Yes, he's done it again!" But then as I continued to listen I just didn't find the tracks all that special. But as you said, with him, it does take a few listens. Life in Slow Motion didn't grab me that hard at first, but listening to the entire album on a road trip a few times, made me get much more attached to the songs.
