Um...since I hate musicals with a passion (Who bursts into song in the middle of a converstation? I only tolerate musical theatrics in Disney cartoons and on the Simpsons) When I was in 5th grade we went on a field trip to see 1776. I didn't mind that too much.

Well it's hard to rate them but I like among others:
"The Rocky Horror picture show"
" A nightmare before christmas"
"Oliver"
"Chess"
and "Singing in the rain" if that counts as a musical

Are we talking Broadway, or films?
Broadway:
Chess
Les Miserables
Sweeny Todd
Into the Woods
And The Producers sounds excellent!
Films:
The Sound of Music
Mary Poppins
Chicago
Moulin Rouge
A Nightmare Before Christmas
Aladdin (except for the theme song)

I like Evita and South Park the movie among others. I find it amazing that it is acctually possible to let people burst out in song without making it look very odd. Possibly that is one piece of what makes a good musical (apart from the story and the music of course...).
So... I just follow the yellow brick road.... that way I think. Perhaps someone will give me a brain in the end.

Moulin Rouge; because for one, phhhtttt...it takes place in an Absinthe Bar and also because i am a big kiss fan, and they did a cover of one of their song ""I was made for Lovin' you""
