Which ones are better? For me, it's a hard one... even though I do not have much to say about American senses' of humour... Their comedies are undeniably great... and I like the English ones as well... So... which ones are the best IYO? I think it might edge on the American side for me...

I prefer British comedies because they understand irony. Only one American comedy does, and that's a good one. Some great brit comedies:
Blackadder
Ripping Yarns
Dad's Army
Monty Python
The Blue Line
Bottom
The Young Ones
and many, many more
