Good luck with the filler, Aliantha!

What LF said. And wrote in that poem. Perfect.

I went to a 20 year school reunion on Saturday night. I was nervous before going, I'm not sure why. I think it was because I would be embarrassed about remembering name etc. I dunno. Anyway it was actually really good. There were quite a few there, including a girl I used to have the hots for and went out with for a couple of weeks - she is still as hot as ever! About half of the blokes are bald which made it difficult to recognise them at first, but their faces are basically the same. I'm glad I went, apart from the 3am bed time, and skin full of booze, and kids harrassing me the next day (and still recovering a couple of days later)! :Z:

I'm in recovery mode. Had what I thought was a dental abcess, but 2 courses of strong antibiotics had no effect. Was continually either in ridiculous pain or rendered useless by painkillers, until doc started treating me for the real problem, which turned out to be trigeminal neuralgia.

Now my body's feeling ok but my heart is in pain... :(

I know exactly what you mean, Edge. :(

Right now, today, I am recovering from that KW deficiency I had yesterday. :) When did we come back up?

Very recently, maybe not even two hours ago... *sigh* I think I may have an addiction :P

I had a great day at the new job. Got to meet my new (next week) boss in a meeting with Gary, my friend who hired me. At one point I looked at Gary and asked, "You did tell me that my new store is the one where Sorus (only I used her real name which can not be revealed here) works, right?" and Jacob said, "Oh, that's right, you are friends with Sorus." and Gary interjected, "Jenn actually brought Sorus to us." and Jacob replied with, "She quickly became one of my most essential employees." So YAY for Sorus. Our boss LOVES you! I also got to put in a good word for Lucimay who recently applied. Imagine three watchers working the same store! Madness I tell you. Also, I was told it was part time but based on the schedule of this week and what I was told was projected for next week it looks to be full time. I am apparently also being groomed for management in the print and copy center right away based on my work history which is cool. And further discussion was made of broader management being available if I want it although they are aware that my specialty is automotive but they hope I like it and stay on because there are apparently quite a bit of good opportunities available to someone with my work history. So all in all a fantastic day of having my ego stroked after a long bout of frustration and disappointment by my months of unemployment. I also got the girl ego stroked by all the boys finding an excuse to come to the print/copy department to check out the fresh meat. HAHAHAHAHA!
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

Paraphrased from Arlo...
And friends, somewhere in Washington enshrined in some little folder, is a
study in black and white of my fingerprints. And the only reason I'm
singing you this song now is cause you may know somebody in a similar
situation, or you may be in a similar situation, and if your in a
situation like that there's only one thing you can do and that's walk into
the shrink wherever you are ,just walk in say "Shrink, You can get
anything and more, at Jenn/Luci/Sorus' store". And walk out. You know, if
one person, just one person does it they may think he's really sick and
they won't take him. And if two people, two people do it, in harmony,
they may think they're both faggots and they won't take either of them.
And three people do it, three, can you imagine, three people walking in
singin a bar of Jenn/Luci/Sorus' store and walking out. They may think it's
an organization. And can you, can you imagine fifty people a day, I said
fifty people a day walking in singin a bar of Jenn/Luci/Sorus' store and walking out.
And friends they may thinks it's a movement.

And that's what it is , the Kevin'sWatch/FBH Exceptional Customer Service Movement,
and all you got to do to join is sing it the next time it come's around on the guitar.

With feeling.
So we'll wait for it to come around on the guitar, here and sing it when it does.
Here it comes.

You can get anything and more, at Jenn/Luci/Sorus' store
You can get anything and more, at Jenn/Luci/Sorus' store
Walk right in they're around the back
Just behind the counter of the copier racks
You can get anything and more, at Jenn/Luci/Sorus' store

That was horrible. If you want to end war and stuff you got to sing loud.
I've been singing this song now for twenty five minutes. I could sing it
for another twenty five minutes. I'm not proud... or tired.

So we'll wait till it comes around again, and this time with four part
harmony and feeling.

We're just waitin' for it to come around is what we're doing.

All right now.

You can get anything and more, at Jenn/Luci/Sorus' store
Excepting Jenn, Luci, or Sorus
You can get anything and more, at Jenn/Luci/Sorus' store
Walk right in they're around the back
Just behind the counter of the copier racks
You can get anything and more, at Jenn/Luci/Sorus' store

Da da da da da da da dum
At San Francisco's finest office retail store...
Congrats Jenn. :)

...edited for rhyme scheme...

And btw, ladies, as a brand-new, freshly minted granulate of a fine Customer Service Training program, all I can say is: good luck. ;)

I feel weird. Things are weird. Really weird. Weird weird weird. As some Terry Pratchett character said, 'may you live in interesting times.'

Ok, so:

People who are in a position to know keep telling me Friend 1 has a thing for me. I already suspected this myself. I was beginning to make moves, spend more time alone with her, invite her for lunches etc. Woo her, so to speak. Because we get on well, she's very pretty, and I think it's worth seeing how things might (or might not) develop.

Then, in the last few days, I found I kept spending a lot of time with Friend 2 - a newer friend. Fine. Tonight...she confessed to having romantic inclinations towards me.

This is where it gets weird though. Friend 2 is a lesbian. I don't mean bi, or curious - she's an out and out (forgive the pun) girl-lover who simply doesn't find men attractive. (I mean...obviously she isn't as gay as she thought she was, but she never had the uncertainty or pretention of a lot of fake/temporary lesbians). She's confused, I'm confused, and life is getting more 'interesting' by the moment. Blech. From one extreme to the other.

Poor guy. Girls are attracted to you. Blech indeed. :P

And if she's actually--physically--attracted to you, then she's bi. It's probably like a vegetarian suddenly realizing that meat tastes good--bit of a shock. People can get caught in their existences or wear a badge so long that the notion it could be elsewise, is well, shocking. Personally, if you can turn a lesbo to like you, that's a damn fine accomplishment.

I've been trying to think of a way to ask this in a non-offensive way regarding your friend, Cj. I don't think a direct question would be offensive, and of the lesbians I am friendly with, none are that close to me that we ever even discuss their sexual preferences...

That said, do lesbians biological clocks go off at the same age as a hetero womans? If the lesbian has no plan in place to partake in in vitro fertilization, could such biological functions cause physical attraction towards a male?

I honestly have to say, I don't know...

Anyway, here in Gator Town...

Beorn was named one of 4 students in his grade level at his school as a Cambridge Scholar within his magnet program, the University of Cambridge International Examinations. He had to demonstrate outstanding performance on three subject examinations and papers at the end of last year to qualify. Sophomores in his program study only three subjects that qualify for the exams and papers.

He and the other three now juniors, as well as the now seniors and any graduated students from last year will have their photo taken on Friday for a press release. An award ceremony to recognize the students is scheduled for May.

He makes me proud. :grinlove:

Meh, no idea, and I'm not looking for an explanation anyway. I don't have a problem that needs fixing. I just felt the need to vent the weirdness, since most of my friends here know Friend 1 and Friend 2, and it's probably not something they need to be told.

Don't mind if I do, thanks! :)

CovJr, I guess the mutual friends don't need to be told unless/until you start, um, dating Friend 2. In which case they'll kind of be going, "WTF??" Anyway, yeah, I'm with LF -- tough problem to have. :P Are you growing your hair out again? Maybe that explains it....

Menolly, congrats to Beorn, and to his mom and dad!

cov, you should just go for it. You never know what may happen. Life gives you moments and if you don't take them then you never know the highs and lows of what you may achieve. Acceptance or rejection, it's all a learning experience and what you take away is always more than what you invest. grab the girl, kiss her, win the day.
