Most Disappointing Main Event Final Table

Post by [Syl] »

Ever.

I missed it last year, but it looked like Eastgate could play from what he showed at the Main Event this year.

There was some suspense with Ivey at the table, but hand after hand... suck-out after suck-out. It was like watching an online tournament. Freeroll at that.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I guess I won't bother to watch it then...I hate suck-outs.

With the exception of Ivey and Schulman, it was sloppy poker.

I have no problem with suck outs... I hate the arrogance of some players who think they should have won because they had the better hand at some previous point. Five cards buddy, you knew going in that there would be five.

But yeah, the final table was rather uninteresting.

Didn't see it. i'll have to check it out on a replay.
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. John Stuart Mill
