Casting Paradise Lost
This is one of my final exam questions for my English class, and I'm at a bit of a loss. Knowing my luck, I'll probably get the other essay option, but for this one, I have to cast Satan, Adam, and Eve.
If you haven't read it before (I hadn't, other than to skim pieces of it):
Satan: Charismatic, strong, arrogant, eloquent
Adam: Authoritative, hard-working, self-sacrificing
Eve: Submissive (yet simultaneously rebellious and envious), curious, sensual
Who would you pick?

Wow Spooky, I thought the very same thing about the Lost characters and scrolled down to Lucimay!........ What the hell would Lurch make of that!!!
Others? The Devil would be at any time a good role for Jack N, or Pacino, but for PL I might look at someone like Viggo Mortensen.
Adam would be Ed Harris for me, but perhaps he's a bit old now, tho' if age (or mortality) were no limit I'd probably go Gregory Peck or Burt Lancaster. Of todays generation I'd think, Christian Bale would do a job or Karl Urban perhaps, more box officey would be Nicholas Cage.
Eve? Kristen Stewart might be good.

Viggo Mortensen was my original pick for Satan. He was great in the role in The Prophecy. But I think I like Sawyer for the part. Having seen Jack in other movies, I think I'll pass.
Kate's not a bad choice, but I kind of want someone more voluptuous and earthy... which makes me think of Christina Hendricks.
Adam is the tough one. Brad Pitt?

Satan's an easy choice for me, Tom Cruise would absolutely kill the part (in a good way)
Eve's hard, but in a good way... there are many actresses that I think could pull the part off; having just watched Changeling, I'm thinking Angelina Jolie.
Adam is harder. For an easy win, go with Tom Hanks, but I feel like I'm just picking favorites if I go for a third big name, so I'll leave that one open.

I've recently been watching Lie to Me (TV) and you might like to consider Tim Roth as Satan.
