My strong suit's not poems,
you can tell by my attempt,
t'was an accident.

Yeah, as Menolly just hinted, deadline was last night. Those who haven't should get their turns in asap. I hope to be doing some processing this weekend. If yours isn't in by the time I do anybody else that yours would alter, I'll skip that part of your submission.

It's a good thing Xar hasn't finished processing the Pantheon turns, then. You won't be distracted by Zephyr.

Is it still possible to do a turn? If not, I can try for the next one. There was so much going on last week, with WAD, Christmas Trees and Birthdays, I wasn't able to get one done on Friday.
For Myles--
When evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love

For Mom--
Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings.

Fly...fly high against the sky...
Thank you, thank you, thank God for you
The wind beneath my wings

Odin promised me that he could finish processing the Aesir turn before either Acropolis or Pantheon turns were finished processing. (Because we know that once those come back, he's going to stop working on Aesir for a while.) He actually promised. "I swear, on my new bag of coins and religious icons, that I will finish these before Xar or Syl can finish theirs. They only have three letter names anyway, so you know Odin can beat them!" That's what he said. Honest.

Fire Daughter, were you able to submit a turn this time?

Hmm. I don't have any finals tomorrow. I suppose I could get results out...
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

*starts jumping up and down*
...demurely, of course...

goat...
I can not believe you may actually be instigating a "who can process and get results out quicker" challenge.

I instigate NOTHING. I just mentioned a TOTALLY TRUE story about what Odin said to me in passing about how much Syl and Xar are slackers, and how he could totally process turns way faster than either of them. He might have said something about tying one hand behind his back. Though... the one-handed typing imagery there might send this thread in a totally different directon, so... yeah...

And how do you demurely jump up and down? Do you have an ear-to-ear grin, but softly of course, while you do it?

Well, considering how slow Odin types, that would be quite a feat if he could get results out before Acropolis and Pantheon typing with one hand behind his back. LOL!!!!!

I can just imagine it... Fist is sitting alone, in a dark room, jonesing sooo hard for some Pantheon. And he knows he can't have any. So, he gets this determined look on his face...

"If I'm going to sit here, half my face twitching from withdrawal... I'll inflict that on others." Perhaps there's an evil laugh. One might call it e-ville. There's certainly a lightning strike about now, so we can see the mad gleam in his eyes.

He reaches over and puts on his Odin helmet (you all know he has an actual helmet, right?) and decides that he can get Menolly even more hyped up if he posts something saying he's working on it, but hasn't finished yet. The more he can keep her on the edge, the more she'll twitch too.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the bad face of codependancy. When the two people realize they can hurt each other SO easily.

I think the helmet looks like this, though. The braids are quite fetching.

Xar wrote:Heh, maybe we should have a thread open only to the AllFather, the SomeFather and the Autarch... I wonder about the discussions that would take place there.

AllFather: "I have this guy in my world, claims to be the god of forests... he worries me sometimes. I think I might have to wipe the world clean for his own good."

SomeFather: "You think that's bad? Look at the guys on my world... oh by the way, the name is in no way an anagram of your world's name, nossir!"

Autarch: "Will you all please shut up? I'm trying to see what these guys are doing in my city!"
There's probably a contest for who can wait the longest after finishing his turn processing before actually sending them out. With a side bet on which player will bring down the Wrath, by asking for them.

"All I want for Christmas is... for someone to send me my damned turn results."

All right? You win. I'm the one... the one who broke down and said something. You happy now? You've made me beg. But I don't care! I just need my fix. That's it. Whatever you want, you got it. Just give me my turn results, so I can start playing again.

Please?

I'll apologize for the hat joke, but we both know that would just be me pretending to apologize to get you to send out the turns. It would be hollow. But, I'll say the words if you want.
