Does anyone in this forum write music?

I have a finished copy written play. It is actually pretty damn good, or will be after the next few rewrites. It is a musical without music. A story of roadies on band tours, some of who are viet vets during the 70s at the end of the vietnam war. It takes place on college campus during peace protests.

It has tremendous potential. I need period music of the 70s

began the process to get permission to use Loadout by Jackson Brown

Anyone have some hidden talent? everyone I have interviewed for this partnership has had a gigantic stick up their ass.

Well, with that kind of an attitude..........
Dandelion don't tell no lies
Dandelion will make you wise
Tell me if she laughs or cries
Blow away dandelion

I'm afraid there's no denying
I'm just a dandelion
a fate I don't deserve.

I write music; in fact there's a sample on my FB Fan Page. I'd be willing to discuss it at some point, but I am not sure I can necessarily write "70s period music" with my "80s hair metal" influences....

yeah, i see that way that came through. what I meant was that I put in a couple of ads. The people that returned my inquiries were very demeaning and pompous once they found out that i was not produced yet. I was very nice to them so please don't misinterpret the way I said that. I guess I was just frustrated when I wrote it because I was tired of being dismissed.

Lorin,

Don't know if you've ever seen a movie called Still Crazy? I've attached links.

The movie is precious in itself, but it does have a half dozen songs written to echo a lot of the stuff produced during that period. If you take the basic structures and progressions you (or anyone trying to help you on this) it might help to make a bit of headway......

Careful if you've not seen the movie, the following are soft spoilers .....
