"When the morning reveals a fertile sun, the time has come to cut and run."

This refers to cutting of the ussussimiel and then running to get away from the overgrowth of the trees.

His cleverly devised sayings involving Linden, while not quite what I had in mind, undoubtedly comprise the crowd-pleasiest entry, and were well done as well. Other more poetic and insightful entries didn't stand a chance, although they have made their mark on us.

And I also wish to express appreciation for the fairness of the game's Linden's Army affiliated official for looking past the obvious THOOLA-themed tone of the winning entries and seeing them for the awesome entries they were.

That is a trait I think I would have difficulty finding in myself. So again I say: well done!

Well, I have another 500, so here goes.

This Week's Contest

Fire up the Paintshop. Crack open the GIMP. Practice with Paint. It's a graphic arts contest this week.

Against All Things Ending is going to the presses soon. And they need a bookcover. Putnams Publishing has passed the word to me that they are accepting bookcovers from Kevin's Watch.

So please create and post your ideas for the AATE cover. They may be serious, or they may be funny spoofs - those Putnam guys can't tell the difference. Heck, they're so witless, you could use either of the original titles for the book, and it'd be okay.

Note that you will NOT be judged on your graphics editting skills. But you will be judged on all the usual things, including audience enthusiasm.

It's a mixture of things. It started out as the Ranyhyn possessed by Ravers and ur-viles galloping through time and space...if, Lord Foul finds out how to get Jeremiah and Joan to tell him how...?

I wish I'd spent more time ironing out the mistakes, Rob's is right on the money.

Kaydene's and StevieG's are really good as well!
