You might be the #1 fan here at KW. I don't think anyone else carried on this long their own thread/discussion basically to themselves.

Too bad its for the Browns.

The Browns have a lot of draft picks next Spring, but I wonder if this late winning streak is going to cost them a Superstar, a game changer...?

This coming season may have no salary cap, so the number 1 pick in the draft will likely cost more than ever before in the history of the league to sign. The Oakland Raiders way over paid for Jamarcus Russel to ride the pine, and he has now been replaced by Charlie Frye, if you ask me they can keep that number 1 pick whoever gets it.
Last season we traded our number five , for a pick in the late teens, and 3 New York Jets veterans. 2 of those veterans are now starters, and the late round pick Alex Mack (center) has started every game this season.
I would love to see the Browns trade their second round, and one of their third round picks for Baltimore Ravens back up QB Troy Smith (Ohio State Buckeyes) who by the way has just asked the Ravens to be traded. Smith was slated to be the starter for the Ravens at the beginning of last season, but an untimely bout with Tonsilitis gave rookie Joe Flacco the shot that should have been Troy's and the Ratbirds, sorry the Ravens never looked back.

Let's agree to throw away everything Al Davis does, eh?

You're traded #5 was Mark Sanchez... his future as an NFL QB looks a lot brighter than Quinn's or Anderson's.

And that DT from Nebraska should go first or second and looks to be a manster for years to come.

Troy Smith would be an upgrade, for sure... I don't expect too much from him, though.

Thats how I feel about Sanchez. Im not impressed, and quite frankly Im not impressed with any of the "Rookie QBs " from recent drafts, Quinn included, and I dont see a franchise QB in this years draft either. Troy Smith might not be the answer, but is probably better than what we have.

You can have Smith. We're happy with Flacco. :)

Well its the last game of the season, and the Jacksonville Jaguars are coming to town for what may turn out to be Manginis last game as the coach of the Cleveland Browns, but who cares as long as we win , Go Browns.

A hypothetical: if a Browns victory puts the Steelers in the playoffs, do you still want a win?

To quote Herm Edwards "You play to win the game." Ill always take a win. Besides if the Steelers survive this round, they deserve to be there. Not to mention their winning now will validate our win against them earlier this year. Go Browns! and in this case, Go Steelers!

Hats off to a nice season ending run by the Browns. And I completely agree about trying to win. IMO you don't lose to get a better draft pick and you play sub par so that you precious starters don't get hurt prior to playoff time. I was glad when the Steelers won to stop their season ending train wreck. Play each gamee like you are going to die afterwards.
... nobody I know.

I think Cowher is going to coach somewhere next year...I'm glad now it won't be Cleveland. That was a creeping fear of mine.

I knew it would take more than a few games for the Steelers to forget who they were. It wasnt that they were getting worse, we were just getting better, and Pittsburgh proved that we were no fluke by finishing well. I hate to say it but the Browns owe them thanks for helping prove we were legit. The AFC North will be awesome to behold next year.

Sanchez wins first playoff game as rookie...rating of 139.4 I still say the Browns passed on yet another great QB. The kid seems tough and played well on the road under great pressure.

Sanchez looked impressive, but dont forget we gave them Braylon to make up for it.

Heh. I keep reading this and can't figure it out.

Braylon Edwards was a virtual non-factor Saturday, even dropped a perfect TD throw.

(Can't tell if I just contradicted or agreed with what you said) :)
