We had freezing rain here overnight, but luckily it had turned to rain by the time I got to the car this morning, so I didn't fall on my butt trying to get to work...
It's ridiculously quiet here today.
Planning to leave a little early.

Interview went fairly well. They gave almost all good comments back to the recruiter. They now want to check references and have me come back next week and take their psychometrics test. Recruiter said that would take "serveral" hours. I think they're serious and just want to be thorough. Time will tell.psytechnm wrote:Excited!
And a little nervous.
After a too long bout of unemployment, I have a job interview tomorrow afternoon! I think I have a decent chance at getting an offer. They have a consultant (they want him to go direct, but he doesn't want to) leaving after next week and want someone soon so some knowledge transfer can take place. I've already had a phone screen, so all I need to do is convince them I'm the one tomorrow!
Good thoughts, vibes, prayers, etc. are all welcome.
Thanks everyone for the good thoughts and vibes!!!!!

HSBC...................BEWARE
ok, so bare with me
I bought a camera from sony for 788.00 on a deferred program. The interest was to have accumulated but if I paid it off prior to the due date I would not have to pay the interest., which was 28 percent or 375 dollars.
A month before the balance is due I pay off the camera. The next month I get a bill for 78 dollars. I did not see it when it came so the bill was 78 plus a late charge of 20 because I was late. There was also another charge of 4 cents for insurance. the bill for the 78 plus 19 late fee plus the 4 cents was due that day.
I called a manager and they said that I paid the camera in full so i dont have to pay the accumulated interest but the 78 was for insurance i took out on the charge, if I wanted to zero the account I had to pay that as well......and oops, we're sorry, you must have missed it. The manager went on to say this charge was not with the regular summary but in a corner on the other side of the bill. and because i didnt pay it i was charge 20 dollars late fee for insurance on a zero product balance bill. So now the bill is up to 98 dollars and there is another insurance charge of 4 cents due on that day. If I didnt pay that day there would be another 19 dollar late charge on the 4 cents, bringing my outstanding balance to 117! I say well let me pay the outstanding balance on the money I don't owe, but they tell me I must pay a 20 dollar service charge to pay it immediately.
So.................I went to my closet, pulled out my bag and withdrew a long shotgun. I havent decided who to kill first. The actual real victim was my job phone, which I threw out the window.

And yet we're told that the credit industry doesn't need an overhaul.... Sorry, lorin. Happy 2010, indeed...

I feel fine today, but my head was swimmy most of the day yesterday. And it seemed like I couldn't get enough sleep in. But now I feel well rested, and my tongue and throat are starting to improve from the cigarette indulgences. That crap hurts after you've not been doing it everyday.

Sad day for me. Furls is gone.
Of course, she is now with her brother and others dear to her, but other dear ones are left behind. My thoughts and what strength I can send are with Russ, Brooke and everyone else there on the Mountain...and all of us here on the Watch who loved her and were uplifted by her.

not gone. not that one. not a spirit like that. she'll never be gone.

I stand corrected, Luci. You are entirely correct; I phrased that poorly.
As I said in Stephen's thread, her voice will continue to be heard, just as she continued to hear the clear voice of Stephen and others.
I, for one, will be listening...
