This show was a lot better when it was Scully and Moulder... I guess Dogett serves his purpose though... I used to love this show. Haven't seen it in awhile though, it's on too late.
I couldn't watch it regularly, because some of the never-ending plots (Is CSM Mulder's dad?!? Was Mulder's sister abducted by extra-terrestrials?!?) drove me nuts. However, there were some AWESOME stand-alone episodes. The one where the guy could tell you how you were going to die is too much fun! And the two with that guy, I think Russian?, who was a "pusher," and made people do horrible things just with his mind!

I must confess that I am an Xfile. The X-files was a sunday evening tradition for me for the last 5 seasons. Before that I watched whenever I could. I liked just about everything about the show. The alien mythology the strange events and unexplained people and creatures set within the serious investigation of such things. It helped that I really liked Gillian Anderson too. The last couple of seasons mostly without the Mulder character were off. I didn't mind Dogget but things had just changed too much. As a fan I watch the X-Files movie repeatedly and the rumors of a second film are exciting. But thats just me.
"If you can't tell the difference, what difference does it make?"
I think most shows have between 22 and 25 episodes a season so I'm guessing there must be around 165 to 170 episodes all together. I of course am not completely sure.
"If you can't tell the difference, what difference does it make?"
Bloody heck! That would be telling. The first episode aired around 1994 or so and the story of the end of the series isn't as concrete ast one might think given that the characters will live on in upcoming movies. Some important plot threads are tied up others are still dangling. I don't think I can describe the ending if you don't know much about the show.
"If you can't tell the difference, what difference does it make?"
That would be Agent Mulder the male lead. I just looked for a X-files episode guide site and got a total of 201 episodes for the series. www.redwolf.com.au/xfiles/

I watched a couple of episodes... About a man who held a load of people hostage... and he said Aliens did things to him... and Mulder went in to help... and got tied to a chair... and later on... in another episode that man was killed. and they blamed Mulder... even though it was someone else...
