We will be sitting in our "hotbox" as usual - the sukkah that my husband made by himself when we lived in NJ and which he has refused to adapt for Florida Sukkot weather, which is generally quite hot. We have lived in Florida for 17 years now and I still can't convince him to install a ceiling fan.
Hope our neighborhood gardener drops his usual contribution of palm fronds on our driveway for us to use on top of the sukkah - that helps a lot toward cutting down on the heat.

The EG shul Beorn attended for religious school calls anyone with a shofar who wishes to blow theirs at the appropriate time up on to the bimah. Beorn and I have both made our own shofars in a Lubavitch shofar workshop. They're not all that pretty to look at, and I can't get the embouchure right. But Beorn was able to blast away.
