Digging up da Vinci

Post by Kil Tyme »

Leonardo da Vinci's bones to be dug up by Italian scientists

All to try to satisfy the "da Vinci is Mona Lisa" myth. So much for Rest in Peace.

So, what is the statute of limitations on when you can dig up a dead celeb to settle a bet? Should the permission to dig come from Church or State? I say keep Leo resting, cause in the end the myth will endure anyway.
Cowboy: Why you doin' this, Doc?
Doc Holliday: Because Wyatt Earp is my friend.
Cowboy: Friend? Hell, I got lots of friends.
Doc Holliday: ... I don't.

Leonardo Da Vinci is dead? Buggers - my mom will hate that. She loved him in Titanic.

If he had put a curse on moving his bones, like Shakespeare did, no one would be touching him. ;)

Thousands of mummies lie in boxes in museums around the world. and nobody bats an eye.

Let 'em make a xylophone out of him for all I care.

Wow...nice: how much would a xylophone made of Da Vinci bones be worth at auction? Better yet: And organ with pipes made from Bach bones!

I'm pretty sure [someone will surely tell me if I'm wrong] that Da Vinci cut up corpses...so he might not mind being dug up, and if he did...well, turn-about is fair play.

I'm not sure why people are so attached to dead bodies...I mean, if you believe in an afterlife, they're not in the body anymore, and if you don't, well, they're not in the body anymore.

the hyperbole is a beauty...for we are then allowed to say a little more than the truth...and language is more efficient when it goes beyond reality than when it stops short of it.
