The Coursers and other Sunbane Warped Things
What happend to them after the fall of the Sunbane?
I can't recall if all of the Coursers were killed when
Covenant's little group took Revelstone.
The Coursers didn't eat meat, Memla said ... did they
somehow derive power and sustenance from the
Sunbane itself? Did they starve to death when it
was vanquished?
I actually liked the beasties ... it wasn't their fault
they were born the way they were ....

I would assume that, since the Banefire sustained them, then they would not last long after it's quenching. As for other warped things, they were simply warped by the first touch - after that I'd guess they'd stay the same, so perhaps we'll see the four legged insectile Cavewights in the Third Chrons? Unless of course some new governing body decides to put them out of their misery - or maybe the restoration of Law and Earthpower restored them? I can't be sure.
On a sidenote, which phase did the sunbane end in?

I tend to agree, but they were creatures of the Sunbane not the Banefire. Coursers were creatures created to thrive under the Sunbane (warped EarthPower). Their connection to the Banefire was that it was the way the Clave kept control over them.Murrin wrote:I would assume that, since the Banefire sustained them, then they would not last long after it's quenching.
My guess would be that once the Staff of Law restored the natural progression of the seasons that creatures that depended or drew on the power of the Sunbane would probably die out once the EarthPower obeyed the natural Law.Murrin wrote:Unless of course some new governing body decides to put them out of their misery - or maybe the restoration of Law and Earthpower restored them? However, it might also be that if they were created to be hardy enough to survive they extremes of the Sunbane, then they would thrive in a natural, less extreme setting.
hmm..i'd have to check that one. They were under Mt. Thunder for a while so it might have changed to the next phase while they were messing around with those cavewights and stuff. Although, after Linden restored the natural seasons, i'm not sure that it would matter that much.Murrin wrote:On a sidenote, which phase did the sunbane end in?

I believe when she rose up outwards to heal the land she looked out and it says which sun up. As for what I said about other creatures, I referred mainly to the warped - ones that were caught in the first light. They were deformed by the sunbane, and I see no reason that they would spontaneously return to normal after being mutants for so long - I assume the change is permanent.
Yup, it was the fertile sun she saw before she started restoring the natual law.
Although, she had to go through all four suns before she was done, so I guess the pestilence sun was the very last before the natural seasons were reestablished.
It also said she only had enough power/time to restore the seasons, but not enough to bring back any plants or animals. So, I would assume that the warped creatures were not restored back to normal by anything she did.

Though the sunbane warped creatures of all types were created by the sunbane (corrupted earthpower) I doubt that they all just dropped dead the moment the land was healed. Perhaps they all adapted and went on their merry way.
