I didn't get it.

In other news, I should have the new rules up by around the same time as the coming turns results, if not before. Of course, only one person has shown any interest, so... *shrug* I don't see any reason why the new classes can't be controlled by players. Most of your high priests are already pretty close to Heroes. The same limitations would apply, though (no sending a minotaur into the Acropolis).

Good work so far on the game conversation. Just a quick reminder that it's to be kept in literary format. No emoticons, block quotes, etc. out of character.

Autarch, I have a question regarding the first free non-DSP action, and then the follow-up to previous actions.

The first non-DSP action can be something totally new, and as a freebie we do not have to submit a story regarding it. Follow-up actions to non-DSP actions already in progress also do not require a story.

What about a follow-up non-DSP action to a previous DSP action? Would that fall as a non-story required action or would that then be considered a second new non-DSP action and then require a story?

I understand that I can play around with submittal order, and cause what I previously considered the freebie action to be a second new action, and thus be the action that would require a story post. But that is not what I'm asking. I am more curious regardless of submittal order if a non-DSP action following-up on a DSP action would require a story in the game thread if a freebie new non-DSP action has already been included.

...yeah, that reads as tedious to follow to me as I am sure it does to you. I hope what I am asking makes sense.

Why yes, I will have some tea and have no tea. (a fat stack of HP to anyone who knows the reference)

Not true. Only stopping or continuing with something already in play. A follow-up could mean anything. If you send your guy to patrol the west wall, patrolling the east wall could be a natural follow up... but it ain't free.

DSP stuff should be easier, since you cannot continue or stop a DSP action without spending DSP (barring artifacts). Other than investment, which I already covered, I'm not sure what else there is. High Priests' actions are free, of course, though not necessarily secret. Same for other notable characters.

Basically, if it's new and it's something somebody might want to know (and if not, why bother doing it, right?), you gotta post it or use your 1.

I suppose as gods get more powerful and resourceful they'll find ways to keep stuff they're doing secret, but you have to remember, it's a fairly small area. People are going to notice stuff. Remember, too, that it doesn't have to be a lengthy story or 'the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.'

Nyx, I did get your submission.

Got it.

Glad you guys are liking the game. I don't think anybody sucks at it, though, so "Don't panic."

New rules are up. Let me know if there's anything I should add, move, clarify, etc.

Please spread the word around KW and encourage people to play. Only one player has shown any interest so far.

you may only have one High Priest for every temple you control

Temples

You can create a temple without a High Priest to run it, but until you have one, it's basically nothing more than a shrine.
These seem to be slightly contradictory, so I wanted to confirm that, in terms of the timing of when you could spend DSP on a second High Priest vs. a second Temple... either way works, but until you have both of them, neither will really do you much good.
