The Bard distractedly nods, looking up from where she is busily scribbling on multiple pieces of parchment, her hand harp occasionally fondled as she works out a trill or chorus.

Everyone sets out quickly...

As you all arrive at the ambush site, the battle has clearly only recently started....
One wagon is isolated, at the very back of the train. There are three humanoid figures there, and two much larger monstrous figures (no further details can be discerned at this distance)
The plan: Vistyai and his companions will draw off the guards as best they can, leaving the weakest guards at the wagons for you....perhaps even leaving the wagon unguarded.
As the elves draw out, the large monstrous shapes close, quickly....as you make your way out of sight, you hear Darkrock identify them.."Nalfeshnee!"
You see a wagon, with only three guards remaining. One is an elf, one looks to be of Led's people, and one looks like a mobile statue...of adamantine.
OOC--assuming the wagon is at center of clock face, you are approaching, for now, from the 8 o'clock position. distance being some 90 feet, a long dune-like snowdrift has screened your approach to this point.

Better that the unwilling conspirators die now, than we all suffer for it later. Still, if any can find a way to simply incapacitate them, I would hold it as a debt. In truth, I do not know if a warforged can even be incapacitated."
With that Led (and hopefully Skyseeker) uses all the stealth at his disposal to sneak up to the wagon. His target is the elf, first.

He prepares to pop up and blast the evil-doers as soon as Led and Skyseeker strike.
[ooc]I don't know what my Hide skill is, but I'm going to be using Sniping (an advanced use of the Hide Skill). Even if I fail my Hide ckecks and they know precisely where I am, I should still be able to attack while keeping the benefits of full cover.[/ooc]

As she watches the three head up the snowdrift after the the elves draw the Nalfashnee off, Laurel regrets that her Song needs to be heard to be of any benefit to the party. Having learned her lesson regarding breaking into Song too soon, she stays silent, except to cup her hand over her ear with the earring to prevent any twinkling at activation from being noticed as she focuses her intent and breathes "Barxonas!"
Once she is assured that any activation twinkling is past, she lowers her hand and reaches to her quiver, passing her hand over her arrows as a golden glow flickers over them. Her own enhancement to her ammunition cast, she draws an arrow to her longbow and nocks it, then moving as stealthily as she can, follows after the three heading up the snow drift.

Suddenly, the Shifter lifts his muzzle, and screams, "HUMANS!"...as people have approached, his trait have become clear...jaw lengthened, extended, revealing a gaping maw of horrific teeth..as well as claws like Led. He quickly pulls and drinks a potion, his skin turning dusky brown, kind of wooden-hued. A maniacal look comes over him, even starting to foam at the mouth.
The Warforged turns, his war hammer and shield now easily visible...as are the spikes protruding from its body.

The wizard pulls out a potion and tries to drink it..but teh warlock's ready action blasts him before he can! (6 points) He loses his concentration and drops the potion!

Still invisible, the bard moves 30' due north, closer to the wagon. Realizing once the other three attacked there was little benefit to not having taken advantage of her longbow in surprise, she takes aim at the wizard, drops out of invisibility, and lets a sonically enhanced arrow fly straight towards him.
Then notches another arrow in readiness.

Vynarkus readies himself to snipe [ooc]Yes, the avanced use of Hide...[/ooc]the Elven Wizard again the moment he tries to do anything, hoping against hope that neither of the two slaves come at him and force him to harm them.
He continues to do this until the Wizard is dead, the group of three have surrendered, or one of the two slaves rushes him.
[ooc]Seven... I think my blasts do 3d6 damage now, am I right? If you did roll that, I'm fine, but I find it a bit confusing that I haven't scored over 10 damage at any point since getting the third die...
Also, I have another action in mind for my first move after the Wizard dies, please do not assume that I switch to another target.[/ooc]

Laurel flashes into view, sending an arrow towards the spellcsater...but it sails wide.
The shifter, snarling in incoherent fury, rushes north, seeking the one who dared challenge The Master.
Led charges.....the Warforged drops its shield, and grabs him as tries to run past, despite his attempts at evading its grasp! The spikes of its body impale the scout! (6 points)
Vynarkus sends another blast at the spellcaster! This one misses the now-alert elf.
The elf walks boldly south then makes a few brief gestures, and almost instantly a beam of energy lances out at Led! He gasps and staggers, looking very pale, weak, and clumsy. He then turns and launches into another incantation, this one more conventional...and five small projectiles flit unerringly into the now-visible bard! (14 points)
Marrik climbs over the drift, and starts moving to intercept the raging shifter.
Skyseeker trots, aiming to pass between the wizard and the WarForged, hurling a flaming javelin at the wizard and praying that Led can handle himself while she tries to deal with the greatest threat. (14 points)
Sigrid moves, and casts her spell...which is absorbed completely by some manner of protection on the mage!
The WarForged squeezes the shifter...twice, two powerful bear hugs that forces the vicious spikes further into the helpless Heshic!! (7 points and 8 points)
One of the prisoners has somehow gotten out of the cage wagon, and gotten some of their stuff out of the chest.--Initiative 9

Screaming in pain, and frustrated rage, Led squirms and twists, trying to break free from the adamantium arms of one whom he might otherwise feel connected to. "How can you help them? After all they've done to us? Let me go!"

Laurel's breath catches, then she expels and catches it again as each missile of force slams in to her body. Five times she is hit. Five times she feels herself grow weaker and in more pain.
"Barxonas!" she finally gasps, retreating as fast as she can into the only means of protection she can think of as she once again disappears from sight.

Laurel disappears, and reappears within range of the WarForged mangling Led. She incants her spell....and the look of a statue is now matched by the immobility of one!
The raging shifter plows into the snow bank, and his gaping maw snaps on VYnarkus! The warlock's protective energies scorch and burn, but in no way dissuade the attack (14 points to the shifter barbarian....16 hit points to Vynarkus and one point of Constitution damage)
Led manages to writhe his way out of the paralyzed WarForged's grip....he wobbles unsteadily, his exhaustion evident.
Vynarkus unleashes his blast upon the mage, who was poised to drink a potion and cast another quick spell. This blast strikes home, wholly engulfing his targets torso! (CRITICAL BLAST! 26 points!). All that is left is above the nose, below the elbows, and below the knees, the rest has been utterly consumed in the blast...the unopened potion falls to the ground.
Marrik rushes over, aghast...he swings his axe, striking the feral foe. (8 points)
Skyseeker casts a javelin as she runs southwest, targeting the WarForged that is savaging Led. Her dismay is evident as the living construct's adamantine body is barely scratched by her weapon...her precise targeting is to no avail against it's enhanced construct nature....the flames, at least, burn it to their full effect (7 points)
Sigrid's wand-blast shrieks into the mass of fury! (9 points) Her aim was somewhat off, as it also struck the paladin! (9 points)
