Thanks, but I don't shop online. Not a big deal, anyway.Seareach wrote:Hey MM: I got my copy of FR from Amazon US and they sent it early so that it reached me here in Oz (if I remember correctly) around about the US release date.matrixman wrote:Undoubtedly only for US customers. I *still* say that "Shall Pass Utterly" sounds far too much like what the doctor told me the last time I had a kidney stone...
"Who enters here, do not lose hope / Who leaves; do not rejoice / Who has not been, shall be here yet / Who has been here, shall never forget" Anonymous / discovered scratched into the wall of a cell in the KGB's Lefortovo Prison in Moscow/originally quoted in the book "Alexander Dolguns Story" (by A.Dolgun),describing the ordeals of an American citizen falsely imprisoned by the Soviet Union from 1948 to 1957.
I am not one to post very often on here - just like reading all the posts from you guys (and gals!)
I do like the cover for this one but I have to say my favourites are the versions we get here in the UK. There is something very clean and classy about them - kind of intriguing?
Anyone any idea when our version is going to be released?

Looks like waves to me. Are we going sailing in this book, then? Back to the Isle of the One Tree, maybe?

the UK covers appear to be the same as what we get here in Australia.
the UK AATE cover sucks, but the wave design does intrigue - where would Linden and co. be headed ?
I kinda assumed we'd be visiting the caverns of the Viles at some point in AATE, the Lost Deep, which from the text I assumed to be somewhere near Mt Thunder.
Then again I kinda assumed Kastenessen would show up in FR, but we're still waiting to see an appearance from the Elohim-nutter.
A journey-by-sea opens up so many possibilities.
I suppose the Isle of the One Tree is the obvious destination, as that is where the Worm slumbers.
But I wonder whether SRD will also show us as-yet-unseen parts of the Earth ?
Btw I always thought the Peter Goodfellow covers were the best by far in series past.

Hey! INT WTF! Why didn't I get this FIRST?! Gotta email The Man about this!Jussi wrote:UK cover art:
Steve likes the UK versions better as well. I like them, too - they have a simplistic but appropriate theme. I especially liked the Runes one that had "Donaldson" spelled out with the trees (not in normal letters - more like a runic code - but you can definitely see the pattern if you look).

I like blue...
I may have to order a complete set of the UK editions when the whole series is done, just to get the pretty covers.

Um ... where did that cover art come from? I couldn't find it on amazon (US or UK), or on the Orion web site. I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble ... just trying to authenticate the cover while I wait to hear back from Steve (he may not have received the file from Orion yet).
Not that I question the authenticity of the cover, though - it's too appropriate to be a fake.

I'm still reeling from the ridiculous title change. Don't know who the cover guy is, but he's pretty hot and intense looking. I thought Covenant, too, but way too young and too many digits. This may not be the final, we do have six more months to go. Did I read correctly, Palencar is the artist? I adore his work, he's killer awesome.
Heard my ears aright? Did not the gaddhi grant me this glaive?
