Led glances at the strange woman waving around pole-arms at incapacitated prisoners.
"So, the elf you saw with the javalin, she belongs to a group who settled far far to the south. Her people know nothing of your Lord Protector, until she arrived here yesterday. I come from a village of shifters who live just to the east of the Darkwood itself. The 'Wood is mostly quiet these days, though we dare not enter very far into it. Just to the north of my village, there are some communities of Warforged. Our two peoples haven't seen elves in many generations. In fact, I didn't believe they were real until I met that one."
He paused as the combattang shifter sprinted away.
"When we revealed ourselves to a group of elves yesterday, your Lord Protector's men had them executed, just for knowing about us. They used a shifter to help track the escaped, and then executed the shifter for knowing too much. They had summoned devils to help them with the killing. I notice that there were demons in your camp shortly before we arrived. To me, that seems like a sign that you yourself aren't long for this world."
"Consider that your Lord Protector and his family are lying to you, to the Warforged and the Shifters, and to their own elves. They say that your people and mine are incapable of governing ourselves, and yet my people have done so for thousands of years with no problems at all. We prosper where we are; trade with our allies; raise our children; love our wives; grow old; and die, all as free people."
"We shall share all of this with our cousins here in the north. We will fight the Lord Protector and his lies. Will you join us, or support your oppressors, instead? And understand that you would likely be executed for knowing what you now know."

Geek the mage, first.
The bard watches the shifter sprint away, and brings her arrow up to bear upon him. Then stops herself. He runs because he is confused; there may yet be hope to convince him of the truth.
Seeing this shifter, unlike her beloved Led, has on armor, she once again calls upon her power to freeze armor and casts it upon the barbarian shifter, attempting to stop his desperate flight so the party can talk with both him and the Warforged.
[ooc]2nd round Inspire Courage lingers
continue to sing Healing Hymn to aid any further Cure spells to be cast
cast Armor Lock upon the sprinting away shifter[/ooc]

The sprinting barbarian becomes trapped in no longer flexible armor, and tumbles, rolling to a stop.
The paralayzed WarForged's eyes are riveted on Led....lighting up as he hears the scout's words, at the last, almost burning with a manic zeal.
Vynarkus heals 19 points (still -2 Constitution)
Marrik uses his healing on himself, gesturing for Sigrid to heal Vynarkus further
Vynarkus heal to full

Seeing her spell stop the sprinting barbarian, Laurel approaches cautiously with an arrow nocked as she draws near, while continuing to sing and allowing her first song to still linger. She signals towards Marrik and Vynarkus for help in restraining the shifter, hoping Skyseeker would stand ready with a javelin should he try attacking or sprinting away.

Continue to sing Healing Hymn.
Approach the barbarian shifter with arrow nocked and ready to attempt to stop him from attacking or running again.[/ooc]

Vynarkus groans as he gets up, then lets Sigrid cast her second healing spell on him. Seeing that Laurel has slowed the Shifter, he walks slowly closer and attempts to convince the Shifter to talk rather than fight or run.

Marrik is healed further (18 points)
The shifter is moving as rapidly as he can, trying to get away....anyone who gets close will be attacked, claws and teeth flashing.
The Warforged is looking upon Led with a look most often seen on priests Communing with their deity...or fanatics expounding on their beliefs. Clearly, the Heshic's words have found fertile ground indeed.

Seeing the fright in the shifter's eyes, and the aggressiveness in his actions, the bard once again glows with power, her sight gazing deep in to the eyes of the barbarian as her voice drifts over to him full of suggestive power. "Do not fear but trust us. Listen to the Truth we have to tell; then decide for yourself, not your masters."
[ooc]Third round Inspire Courage lingers.
First round Healing Hymn lingers.
Cast Suggestion upon the barbarian shifter.[/ooc]

Led bows his head to the Volk healer. "I don't suppose you can do something about this exhaustion?" At her sad look, he leads back again. "Guess I'll just wait it out."
"It's unfortunate that my cousin is fleeing like that. If he isn't willing to join us, and instead he's running to tell his owners, he's a great danger to all of us."
Led sees the warlock heading towards the body of the elf. "Vynarkus. Could you keep an eye on that shifter? If he looks like he's getting away from Laurel's charms, he'll probably need to die. I hope you can still reach him from here?"

The bard sees the half-elf heading towards the shifter. "Hold off!" she projects. "He is listening, though he is not convinced yet. He will continue to listen before totally fleeing for five hours yet, if we do nothing to threaten him.
"Vynarkus!" she continues. "Please return here and see if together you and I can convince him...I am sorry, my name is Laurel, and your's?" as an aside to the shifter, then returns to addressing Vynarkus once he answers "...as to the Truth of what Led is saying."
[ooc]fourth round Inspire Courage lingers
