I have also just buried another piece somewhere in the game. If my reference is picked up and your response matches it, I will likely reward those that participate.
If there is something new in the forum itself, it is definitely slipping past me...
Although that's twice now that I am aware of you using the word "reference" within a very short period. I just wish I understood what you meant.

I like puzzles.
But I sure am oblivious to them most of the time.
If anyone else has any ideas, feel free to expound on them.

Oh!

If I am reading all that I have found on this aright, that's cold, Autarch.
Cold. :(

<sigh>

He put pieces in our stuff so we'd SHARE and WORK TOGETHER.

That doesn't mean "drop a cryptic 'that's cold' and rush off by yourself."

Sorry...
I figured if I could find it, then anyone could.

Anyway, if my interpretation of what it means is anywhere near correct, Virelai's latest post is sharing and attempting to work together based on it. I don't think the implied subtlety of what I think the actual piece he planted means needs be stated. Everyone can figure that out for themselves. And I could be totally mistaken on what he meant anyway, but am doing my best on what I think it means.

I'm sure we could. But since you have already found it, why should we have to?

That's the point of cooperation, right?

Fine.
It just would be nice if others were cooperative as well at times...

Anyway,
There may be another piece somewhere else.
This is the one that stood out to me.

In the Stats on the first page of Forum of the G-ds.
There is now a Lesser Priest listed by name, which I believe was edited in today. From what I see, no other Lesser Priest is currently listed.

He is listed by First and Surname, or perhaps it is meant as a title, since his twin is also listed as High Priestess without the Surname.

The Surname or Title is not a creation of the player.
That is what is new, on top of him even being listed there at all.

So I did a search on the Surname, as well as on a term I was given in PM, but that was sent in response to an out of character comment, so I am unsure if I can share that.

The name alone implies that a general with that name was disposed of because he failed to initiate action against an enemy, and the situation was turned around only because another army for the same forces showed up and they defeated the enemy together.

So my assumption is that we are seriously being encouraged to work together on conquering this horde.

That is what I got out of what I found.
Whether it is what the Autarch means is totally open to interpretation.

Yeah, I meant to work that piece in, but was pressed for time and forgot.

What Menolly is referring to is the name of the barbarians. They call themselves the Aequi.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Just a quick note concerning writing in case there are questions. Virelai, you don't need to teach people to write for them to be able to do so. No more than Antaka needs to teach people about the afterlife or Kai about chaos.

Just like the seasons of the Acropolis follow South Carolina seasons, that would be Midnight EDT between the 2nd and 3rd of May for deadline, right?

Oops, sorry about the mix-up.
I know very well they are different states. Image
But thanks on the time verification.

My last hint for the barbarian problem: any good Roman (or Italian, I suppose) knows what happens next.

Ok, some good Ohioans might also know.

All turns are in except for the hero players'.
