Beorn's former charter middle school is in a web contest where the first prize is $20K. They're up against some pretty stiff competition, and have a long way to go. Please consider casting a one time vote for them, and spreading the word to others to please vote.
This is the free public charter school run and staffed by HKs with the fantastic vegetarian lunch program. They are also the school who journeyed with us as we first learned of Beorn's Aspergers and what that meant as far as his academic and social situations. Everyone rose above expectations all around.
As a charter school, they get far less funding from the state and county then regular public schools to. Any and all additional funding is highly appreciated. Again, please consider casting a vote for them and spreading the words to others to do the same. The contest closes May 21st.
