Before Roderigo can answer, everyone very suddenly feels an overwhelming lethargy come over them.
Roderigo says "Ah yes. I know that expression. The sun is rising outside, and you're all returning to corpses. Hurry, get to your beds. We'll talk more in the evening." Everybody clumsily makes it to their beds and collapses.
[Time passes]
Some time after sundown, Alina and Seska regain awareness. Roderigo is sitting on the other side of the table, playing a game of cards with himself. He sees the two stir, and stands.
"Good evening, my Ladies. I trust you slept well?" To Seska, he adds "When you're ready, I have a knife and bowl, as you'd asked. I can take you to the courtyard. Lord Hardestadt wishes to speak to you all, but it may be some time before the others wake. You should have time to perform whatever hethan rituals you require." Roderigo is trying to be polite, but the disdain in his voice is still clear.
Gedeminas and Olaf will wake in 10min.
Johann and Sabine will wake 10min after that.
Taduz will wake 10min after that.

Alína's eyes open wider as she hears of her Lady's plans. Hesitantly speaking, she gingerly broaches the subject. "milady, if you plan to offer sacrifice to Shechina, called by others Luna or Phoebe or other names I may not know, may I be of assistance? My own tradition has done away with sacrifice since the destruction of the Second Temple and the exile to Babylon, but I am learned in the rituals of the ancient sacrifices of sheep and goats.
"It is forbidden to bow to other men, but to honor an aspect of Shechina, I would humbly offer my services," she finishes, casting her eyes downward as she awaits the answer of her land's Lady.

Seska casts a baleful glance at Roderigo. "You would do well not to insult my practices lest you want me to start with the atrocities of your Church. Mine are not founded upon the slaughter of anyone who disagrees."
Her temperament quickly changes when she turns to Alina. Seska smiles at the tendered offer, "The only sacrifice tonight shall be a bit of my own." She looks at her hand and notices the knife wound from the other night is present. I thought I healed that. "I would normally welcome one from our village participating, however... I... need... some time alone. Some time to commune undisturbed." Her tone shifts again as she looks towards Roderigo, "It is bad enough my holy nights were spent suffering Hardstadt's hospitality."
She stands to collect the bowl and knife then heads towards the courtyard. It is a small side garden, with two fruit trees and several rose bushes. The outside wall has a small balcony overlooking a crag, likely a beautiful scene during the day but only darkness with indistinct hazy shapes visible in the moonlight.
As she enters the courtyard she sheds her clothes, tossing them at the base of one of the trees. She rubs her neck, more habit than any stiffness, and notes it feels scaly. She traces their texture over her shoulders and in a triangle on her back which reaches her coccyx. She sits, head bowed, hugging herself for several minutes. After a few deep, forced, breaths she is ready.
Seska draws a triskelion in the dirt with her fingers then places the bowl in the center with the knife balanced on the rim. She makes a few more marks outside the figure, then cuts the palm of her hand. Nothing comes. She concentrates upon pushing the blood from the wound and it begins to drip, filling the small bowl. She thinks about the cut healing and it does. Handy skill. Taking the bowl, Seska pours small amounts into the squiggles using her finger to guide the flow, then replaces the bowl in the middle.
She tries to continue, however she can only focus on the unfairness of it all. The horrors of the past few days. The mockery of an ambulatory corpse performing rites celebrating the life-giving properties of blood. Rage wells up inside, causing her to grab the bowl and throw it against the nearby wall with a wail which echos through the halls of the castle. She sits there again, staring at the symbols carved into the dirt.
She looks where the bowl shattered against the wall then stands and walks over. Almost instinctually, a tongue snakes from her mouth, (Longer than her forearm!), and licks the blood-stained brick. Sweetness! It tastes as fine as any honey wine.
Staring at the blood dripping down the wall, she contemplated its meaning. Torpor was it? It still provides life, even if a different form. Were not some practitioners granted strength through the blood? It was still a source of power, one she never dreamed of possessing. Is it not precious? Moreso than ever. It was no longer her own to produce. It could only be obtained from others, yet it is a sacred substance! Depriving others of it would be a crime against her beliefs.
But not from those who rejected the proper ways. They foolishly squander their own and others' vitae pursuing the 'goals' of their false god. And is she not sworn to protect her people and lands? Why not turn the fools' waste to their benefit? To use life to nurture those who respect and revere it?
For all her life she had faith in the importance of blood. For the first time though, Seska understood the power of it. Why the goddesses respected those who revered it. Why it was the righteous path.
Her gods would not abandon her. No, they would welcome her still. This time it was her laugh which echoed through the halls.
She gathers the pieces of the shattered bowl in her left hand, walks over to pick up the knife, then moves to the balcony where she gives the fragments a back-handed toss into the night. Wrapping her long hair around her right arm as a snake might entwine its prey, she takes the knife in her left and presses the flat of the blade against the nape of her neck and cuts upward as a tinkling sound echos from far below.
Throwing the bundle of hair into the wind she says solemnly, "Let the night take you."
With that she turns to dress and return to the others.
[Edited a bit of grammar and changed the end up a bit to compensate for wrapping up way too late. She should return a little after the second group awakes.]

As her Lady left the room and the others slept on, Alína looked at the ghoul in curiosity.
"Our current existence, and your own admitted state, confirms much of folk legends I have disregarded as fanciful for years. For myself, I know of the existence of mages. Can you tell me of the reality of other beings of folk lore? And their true relationships with vampires?"
The healer than drops her head. "Also, while I find the knowledge of certain spells and incantations are still in my head, the ability to use these abilities which came naturally seems to have disappeared. Will they return? Or will these powers you were telling us about help me find a new way to using them?
"Finally, how does one discover to which of these clans they belong? And what their powers may actually be?"

Assamite
"My lady, I am but a servant, only recently come to My Lord Hardestadt's service. I know nothing of other folklores, though seeing a vampire in the flesh, I cannot doubt that all of the other stories must be true. Under Claudio, I learned something of the thirteen clans, but I fear it won't be enough for you."
"There are 13 clans, and various bloodlines; small offshoots of their parent clans. Claudio was from the Giovanni bloodline, for example."

- The Assamites are heathen Saracens, from Arabia. They are renowned as great assassins of the Kindrid, and their powers of stealth support this. They also possess unique powers of murder, though I know not the specifics. Lord Al-Nasir is one of those.
The Brujah are from fallen Carthage, and fancy themselves champions of the people, overthrowing their oppressors. Those few I have met are mostly just ruffians with strong tempers. Their powers are just strength and speed. Marchettus was one of those, or Adana Sforza here.
The Cappadocians come from the land of that same name, in the Roman Sultanate. They are scholars of death, with exceptional vision and powers over death and decay. The Giovanni bloodline of Venice, including Claudio, also studies necromancy.
The Gangrel are wild animals. They dominate the far north and the untamed lands to the east, but they can be found anywhere there is wilderness. They can control beasts and take on their forms. Dimitra was one of those, and Milov Petrenkov.
The Lasombra hail from Sicily, though they are also strong in the kingdoms of Iberia. They are masters of shadows, both figuratively and literally. Lord Valdemar was of them.
The Malkavians are madmen, every one. They may share their madness with others, and are frequently oracles or somesuch. Mostly they're just mad. Lady Theophania was of their ilk, as is Camilla Banes.
The Nosferatu are all hideous monsters. Matron Violetta was of that clan, which is why she hid her face. They are masters of disguise, however, and are known to be spies without equal. They have taken a natural inclination to hide their hideous forms and turns it to a great strength. Josef von Bauren is also one of these.
The Ravnos are simply gypsies. Gabrin was a member. They are nothing more than thieves and illusionists, just like their mortal kin.
The Setites hail from ancient Egypt, and worship the snake-headed god Set, Lord of Corruption. They may turn themselves into snakes, and have power to sway the emotions of others. The Lady Amisa is one of them.
The Toreador claim to be worshippers of beauty and art. Often this means they are efite snobs. They are strongest in the Kingdom of the Franks, though they can be found across the world. Sire Wenceslas was of their ranks. Of the founders, Rafael de Corazon is one of them.
The Tremere are called the Usurpers, for they are actually a cabal of Transylvanian wizards who hunted down another clan and stole its powers. I know nothing of the other clan, save that they're all dead now. It is said that they would worship demons, though. The Tremere continue to practice wizardry as vampires, though they are at war with the Gangrel, Nosferatu, and Tzimisce in Transylvania. Casmir was one of them, and I guess therefore you and Lord Gedeminas are also. I'm afraid I know nothing of your magic before this, or how you can regain it. You are certainly of the correct clan to learn how, though. You may wish to speak to Mistress Fanchon, who is also of this clan.
The Tzimisce, also called Fiends, are horrible monsters. They virtually rule Transylvania. They are known for their brutal wars amongst themselves. Their powers allow them to shape their own flesh and that of others to their whim. Their wars often involve huge hulking monsters made from the bodies of 10 or 20 mortals all fused together. Rumors tell of entire castles made from the still living bodies of their enemies, crying out in anguish. Mieczyslav was one of those monsters.
The Ventrue style themselves kings and nobles, and their powers run towards dominating the minds of others as well as swaying their emotions. Lady Almanov is one of these Blue Bloods. As is, of course, my Lord Hardestadt. Most of the Kings and Emperors of Christendom are from this clan.

Shaking his head muzzily, the large blond grabs the doorframe and braces himself, pushing and stretching, working out the kinks in what is clearly a habit...his eyes widen as cracking sounds can be heard from the wood, and splinters emerge from beneath his palms. "Ho, in returning me to Midgard, the Valkyrior have given me gifts it seems."

Alína's eyes widen at this news. Usurpers? Demon worshippers? Practicing wizards? She nods her head thoughtfully. "Yes, it sounds as though these Tremere may be able to help me regain my lost skills. But my skills focused on healing and helping others. If Casmir was a typical representative of the clan, I fear their wizardry may be as distasteful to me as my beliefs and practices sound like they may be to them. Still...Roderigo wrote:The Tremere are called the Usurpers, for they are actually a cabal of Transylvanian wizards who hunted down another clan and stole its powers. "Tell me, Roderigo. How would one go about arranging an audience with Mistress Fanchon, should she be willing to guide a newly embraced vampire in the ways of her clan? And also, could you tell me...
"Has anyone noticed a large owl flying about the property since we have been here?"

Gedeminas walks in as Alina asks her questions.
His head snaps around at the word wizardry.
"Could I perhaps hear more of what you two were discussing?"
After hearing the explanation of the clans, he nods, and then says to Rodrigo, "I would also like to hear how to arrange a meeting with Mistriss Fanchon.
"Also, could you tell me what happened to my wagon? The sun rose this morning before you could answer."

Alína nodded at the blinded vampire, then turned back to Roderigo. "Also, why are we not ravenous now, determined to drink your blood? I can feel the craving; I suspect I always will. But, why did we not awaken wanting to feed immediately?"

Roderigo replies, "Mistress Fanchon will be with you shortly, once everyone has risen for the night. I expect she won't be able to really help much in the way of guidance until after this business with your sires is finished, though."
"There was a large owl circling the Claudio's castle, now that I remember it. I think a few of the guards tried to take shots at it, but it was very adept at avoiding them. I haven't seen it since we left there, though."
"You had quite a lot of blood yesterday, so you shouldn't need to feed again right away. Many of your abilities will speed your hunger, especially anything physical. But be mindful of how hungry you are, because it's possible to lose control, and then you might be discovered."
[I had said that everyone could have full blood pools.]
Turning to Gedeminas, he says "Oh yes, your wagon. I nearly forgot about that. And your man and horses. I knew the attack was coming that night, and I didn't want to have to kill them as well, so I tricked Lothar into... um... convincing your man to go to the Inn and wait for you there. I'm not sure what became of him since."
[In the interest of brevity, the final three can post now.]

"Dara?" Alína mentally cries out at the sound of the owl call. Then smiles wryly at the child enjoying herself, shaking her head in sorrow as she wonders if she has lost her lifelong friend.

Seska enters the room, knife in hand, a gleam in her eye, and absent four feet of hair. Seeing more of her fellows have awakened, she bids them "Good morning".
She places the knife gently on the table. "Hopefully my terrible heathen ways have not corrupted its blade beyond redemption," she snipes at Roderigo.
With a smirk she takes one of the mugs provided earlier and fills it from a keg. Pausing for a moment, Seska holds it in front of her chest, closes her eyes, and mutters something indecipherable. A prayer perhaps? She takes a few sips then wrinkles her nose. Taking the knife once more, she cuts her right palm then adds some of her own blood into the mug. She stirs it with a swishing motion then takes another sip. "Ah! Much better!" she exclaims while taking a chair.

Taduz slowly awakens, realizing he's the last to arise. Finding a small pouch on his person.
Ah, he's back.
[For the sake of brevity, got the info on clans and such earlier]
"So, you call my people thieves, those that you haven't slain in the name of your zombie jew? Then you call my...clan, fiends? You, and this propaganda you are spouting does not endear yourself."
Don't rip his face off.
"Does not your book say that you shall be protected, or do you take it upon yourselves to take only what you want, assuming you can read the whole book, not just what's parroted to you."
Molding skin and bones
To Seska "You may want to keep the knife, handling something one of us has used for our soul stealing practices might make him have to confess"
Besides, it's a weapon
"Moving flesh my own and others? Does removing the tongue of a slave to the damned work also?"
Maybe I can rip his face off.
"You say Gabran was an illusionist? I felt the fires, felt the spirits rising against their natural order, felt the pain. He summons demons to corrupt the natural things."
Gabran will pay. And if forcing the spirits to my will is how it will be done, then I will. It's a game we both can play.
In Rom to himself "Mother warned of those who abused the balance. Her stories have gotten me far, and saved my life. I fear now that her stories have taken me as far as they can. Now, I forge my own path"
Looking at Sabine "Does the puppy want a bone?" and quickly thereafter before she can answer, looking at Roderigo, smirking "I should be able to get you at least one. Fresh."

Taduz smiles and crouches down.
Makes a joking grab to one side, then the other, intentionally missing trying to pet the tail, seemingly because it's wagging so hard.
I laugh "It appears your tail doesn't want to be pet right now"
