"Sigrid talks to me. Nobody else can understand me, though."

[Led Pighp]

Led turns to Kali and her theatrics, and stumbles backwards from her, being extra careful not to touch her. His claws come out, but he only backs away from her a few steps. "Ahhhhhhh!"

[Kalindriel Ec'urb]

She shakes her head a little, "I am joking, Led. Calm yourself. Besides, you leaned on me when you swooned. If I were contagious you would have already caught it." Taking a more serious tone and pointing at the Bard, "If you keep stumbling around blindly, you are going to bump into Laurel. And if that bag contains what she says it does and you puncture it, that will cause a problem."

Looking back at Aednat and once more speaking Ignan, "A shame. Perhaps they should learn. Now there are two of us who can." She smiles. "Crackle if you need anything."

[Led Pighp]

"Oh no, Laurel touched the bag? She's lost to me, now."

[Sorchat]

I flare brighter, and smile at Kalindriel. "Thank you."

[Laurel]

The mage shakes her head in mock dismay.
"This bag is elaborately sealed and protected by glyphs of warding, Led. I have been lost to no one.

"Least of all you..."

[Vynarkus]

A few seconds ago, Vynarkus froze, then his gaze sharpened. He looks around quickly, focusing on several locations.

He finds a clear shot on one of the things he noticed, and then blasts it while shouting, "Everyone! There are disguised Slaadi here! They're in groups heading for people important!"

[Kalindriel Ec'urb]

Shortly before Vynarkus shouts, Kalindriel notices something happening beyond Led which draws her attention. After he unleashes a blast, she announces to those nearby, "Skzz Hssh...," she catches herself still speaking Ignan and switches to Common, "Three 'elves' heading right for us, and they look hungry!"

[Doom upon the leader. Readying to receive them.]

[Led Pighp]

Led['s] claws come out, but he only backs away from [Kalindriel] a few steps. "Ahhhhhhh!"

Claws still extended, Led follows Kalindriel's gaze towards the heretofore unknown enemies. He quickly rises from his defensive crouch and sprints off through the crowd to do battle.

"What's a Slaadi?"

  Third or fourth turn shifted, maybe?
  SPOT check to see if I can identify which ones are charging at us and not running away from combat. Charge / claw / claw one of them.
  Else, run towards him, in anticipation of doing so next round.

[Kalindriel Ec'urb]

"Slaadi? Oh, your usual beings of utter chaos hailing from the realm of Limbo."

[Sigrid]

I cast Protection from Evil on Led.

[Laurel]

"Slaadi have a natural resistance to all types of energy attacks, and are totally immune to Sonic damage," Laurel calls after Led. "Geek the grey ones first, if you can. Then green, blue, red; in that order would be preferable.

"Though get any when you can, as you can..."

Laurel's eyes suddenly widen and she yells out, "Look out! The green near us is casting Fireball!"

Her hands suddenly make a short chopping motion as she breathes a quick chant. The bard then breaks in to an inspiring tune of courage loud enough for all her friends to hear while placing the bag of spores securely in to a pocket while drawing out one of her scrolls.

[ooc]Cast Inspirational Boost upon self as a swift action (casting time of spell itself as described in the Spell Compendium), than launch in to a song to Inspire Courage as a standard action while benefiting from the Song of the Heart feat. Draws out one of her scrolls.[/ooc]

"So they're not resistant to having claws shoved inside them and wiggled around a bit? That's all I needed to know."

Vynarkus' blast scorches into one...suddenly, all of the slaadi throughout drop their disguises...red, blue, green, grey, even the dreaded death slaad are here! (10 points)

Vyn's blast tagged a Red Slaad....southernmost one, to be exact

Vynarkus heads for cover, if there is any nearby (I can't see the map... again...), and then blasts the green Slaad.

[Applicable to change since I'm second to last on init: Move west four squares and hold. Acting as a meatshield if anything passes Led to get at Sigrid since Arbee is currently between the red, Vyn and Laurel.]

[Seven Words]

Laurel breaks into uplifting song!

The Green Slaad croaks in its hideous tongue, clawed hands gesticulating briefly...Laurel's warning comes mere seconds before the streaking projectile detonates in a massive Fireball, engulfing everyone!

Laurel catches the fringe of the blast! (save made, 13 points)
Marrik's shield deflects some of the blast! (save made, 13 points)
Vynarkus drops under the worst of the conflagration! (save made, 13 points)
Sigrid and Aednat move, the fire elemental bodily shielding the Frusvolk woman, mitigating her exposure (save made, 13 points)
Skyseeker drops and rolls, emerging unscathed! (save made, Evasion, no damage)
Led is slow in responding to Laurels warning, and is caught in the conflagration (save fail, 27 points)
Kalindriel 's exposure is reduced by the bodies around her, as well as her own magics (save made, 8 points)
CrushSpike is also slow in reacting, taking the full force of the detonation! (save failed, 27 points)


Smoke rising from his flash-heated armor, Marrik lumbers north, and northwest, placing himself squarely athwart the straigthtest line between the red and green slaadi's direct route to half of the party.
Vynarkus points, and mystic energy surges forth, searing the green Slaad! (13 points)
Sigrid cannot maintain her Concentration, and her spell is lost!
Skyseeker jogs west, then cutting Northwest, hurling a flaming javelin at the red slaad which Vynarkus had struck while it was shapechanged, but misses!
Led charges the green Slaad, managing to land only one clawing attack, and that but a glancing blow! (10 points)

The Red Slaadi both break into charges, one at Marrik the other at CrushSpike! CrushSpike lowers a spike-laden shoulder to receive the charge! Pefectly placed, his integral weapons slide into the soft belly of the frog-demon! (CRITICAL HIT, plus set to receive charge...17 points) The slaad unleashes it's savage attack, pouncingupon him! It is only able to connect with it's gaping fang filled maw, his adamantine body shrugging off the weaker claws! (11 points)
Marriks shield blocks the bite of his opponent, but the claws arc in around it, both striking home! His armor abates most of the damage, however. (1 point and 2 points) His body rejects the slaad egg pellet implantation! (successful save both times!)

Kalindriel moves west, behind Marrik, and casts Doom upon the green slaad. The powerful creature shakes off her spell!

CrushSpike now wields his hammer in a full-out attack upon the red monster! Descending forehand blow lands punishingly, (7 points), then a level low backhand strike also crunches home! (10 points).

[Laurel]

Continuing to sing, Laurel reads from the scroll and casts the spell upon the Green Slaad. As she sings, she works the following inspiring words into her song, "My hope is that the Green is held! Do what you can to him!"

A few more lines later, the Bard works in a line to her Song about the use of shadow, and as she sings the name "Barxonas!" suddenly winks out of view. Her inspiring song continues to be heard, yet its location seems to recede from the point of battle.

[ooc]Reading from the scroll she withdrew last round, Laurel casts Hold Monster upon the Green Slaad, activates the earring of invisibility, then moves to the southeast four squares.[/ooc]

[Five foot step to the north and hit the Red Slaad Marrik is engaging with my glaive.]

Vynarkus blasts the green Slaad again, continuing to move around the stage to the side opposite the Slaadi.
