You start out with four discipline dots. Spend 14 Freebie Points on two more dots, that gives you six. Generation maximum for 7th gen is 6 dots. For all of your stats EXCEPT disciplines, you're limited to five, because you're mortal when those are created. Disciplines happen at the moment of the embrace, so would have a max of 6 instead.

Not that I would have changed how I spent my Freebie Points anyway.

Especially since I am leaving clan choice up to you, I wouldn't have known what Discipline to put dots in to...

I have been waiting to hear about this.

So, from what you are saying, if we wish to get rid of a flaw, it would cost the same as purchasing a merit?
And what if we wish to take on an additional flaw? Could we earn XP that way?

We've been playing Vampire together for a long time, so it's easy for us to bounce mechanics ideas off one another. And he can tell my thoughts pretty easily since I tend to make funny faces (or the internet equivalent nowadays) if I think it's unbalanced in either direction.

Why would you intentionally acquire flaws after chargen? Other than to earn XP, that is?

But no, you can't just acquire XP for flaws. If the story unfolds that way, I can imagine that I just assign a flaw to someone. Bad luck, there. But, you can get rid of some flaws with role-playing too, so... it all balances out.
