Well Flaming Lips w/ Stardeath and White Dwarfs.. And Peaches and Henry Rollins.
ANYWAY I've got it and I just LOVE it! It's just blown me away! I can't say enough good things about the original (which I have several versions of, including Vinyl) but he Flaming Lips bring a different angle to it.. More madness and lucidity and Electro-Rock-Funk.. The Great Gig in the Sky just WOW they've made that EXTRA awesome!!!
Just check it out guys and girls!!!

Forgive my death.

I'm not a huge Lips fan, but some of the others sound interesting...I'm gonna have to give it an ear at least.

I admit, I had never heard of the Flaming Lips until this thread. Then I was at Walmart yesterday and they had their latest CD (Embryonic, I think that's the latest), so on a whim I picked it up.
It's certainly different than any other music out there today, and I can really see a 60s Pink Floyd influence to their music. I am guessing they could do a great rendition of Dark Side of the Moon, so I'll be looking out for it.
As to whether I like the band or not... I'm undecided. Their music is growing on me, but it is so very different than what I normally listen to. I'm intrigued enough to keep listening though

As an aside, a couple people I know know the Lips pretty well [from their time in Fredonia, NY].
