Why would I want to turn an artifact into a temple? I'd make a new temple from scratch. Not that I have any artifacts anyway.

And why spend DRP on the box to carry the temple? Just spend money.

My understanding is detailed ritual for both is expected for it to work.

...If I am recalling correctly what I was told when I asked the same thing several turns ago. ;)
Wow. In like two sentances, you managed to correct the Autarch on his own rulings (without disagreeing with him at all), and also play the "neener neener, I thought of that already" game.

Good for you, Menolly.

hmm...
Will need to recheck messages, but I am pretty sure this was included in what I was told. For me, I just couldn't imagine needing to relocate the portable temple I have planned more than once a turn/month. Like our divine artifacts, I imagine overuse would reduce efficacy.
Why would you want to check your PMs to make sure they DO agree, when you're pretty sure they do? More "neener neener, I thought of that already"?

And while we're at it, why didn't you SHARE any of this info with us? Would have saved me the trouble of asking, and Syl the trouble of responding.

You're really bored in that airport, huh?

Well, it's kind of like when I was a kid:

My bedtime used to be 8 o'clock. I had to fight like hell to get that raised over the years. My little brother, on the other hand, didn't have to put nearly so much work into it. Sometimes, it pays to have someone else beat the path for you.

I kid... mostly. Since it was a special circumstance, I pretty much just said whatever came to mind (there is no Autarch manual). If that doesn't match, five and a tripod is the new price. The ritual's like a tip - expected, but usually not strictly enforced. It's good to be da Autarch.

But yeah, the vessel to move it costs another DSP (DSP, people!). More if it melts Nazis.

(besides, I've tortured Menolly enough the last couple turns. I'm good for a while... or until my mood changes)
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Any chance you could shut the hell up and let some of us sleep? You morning people, as soon as the sun's up, just blah blah blah blah. Go bother some other game.

Hrm. So if someone (say... "me") were to do something so annoying that it fouled your mood... you'd take it out on Menolly? (After, of course, you took it out on me. So it would have to be something SOOOO heinous that just destroying Nyx wouldn't cheer you up, and then you'd have to torture Menolly to regain equilibrium.)

How much do I REALLY like Nyx? vs. how much I enjoy the idea of Verelai being tortured...

I must needs ponder this for a while. It's a close thing...

You sure have a lot to say about games you don't play. But that kind of thing, perhaps, makes it worth it. Best pun I can remember off the top of my head!

Not sure if I should reveal this or not, but since it's been mentioned a couple times...

Talking about stuff (amongst yourselves) doesn't help anyone. Your reputation is based on what the people of the Acropolis think, not on what other gods think.

Say what??
To the both of you, grr...

It does seem that no matter which game I play, my good intentions always go astray.

At least, try to confirm Virelai's spelling, Goat?
I don't think you have spelled her name correctly yet... ;)

Y'know, at times I really do wonder why DPJ was not nominated for the Gadfly of the Year Watchy...

...maybe next year instead.

Sorry Autarch.
