Food, Inc.

Post by lorin »

Today I am two months without meat (still eating fish)

I just watched a documentary called Food, Inc. It is riveting and really worth the two hours to watch it. I had been feeling weak about the decision not to eat meat but this put me back on track. It is not about vegetarianism, it is about understanding the source of what you eat. It deals with the huge food industry, and what can be done to make changes.

I really hope others will watch it.

Another good read is Fast Food Nation. It was made into a movie, but I'm not convinced the people who made the movie ever read the book...

The premise of the book is the extreme impact/influence the Fast Food Industry has had on our food chain in America.
