A comment on the order in which people post turns:

For the most part, the order in which people post isn't that important. As long as we're just talking, people will talk as they have something to say... there's no need to wait until everyone has posted before posting again.

When we get to combat, when there's initiative order that matters, it can add some long delays if the person who can log in in the mornings has to wait for the person who can log in in the afternoons to post. So, with a nod to Seven Words' flow, I'll suggest that people post in whatever order they can get here to do it, and I'll resolve everything in proper initiative order.

One thing that I haven't seen Seven have to deal with is PvP combat. The Dante vs. Erick scuffle is perhaps going a bit slower since each of them is having to respond to each other's actions (plus NPC actions thrown in there).

Just sayin

A quick note to state that the Storyteller told me to ask Gedeminas what his emotional state was, instead of telling me what Auspex 2 revealed to me, since it is extremely easy for me to ask Gedeminas. Gedeminas' choice was to be confused and embarrassed. The halo color for confusion was easy to find, but I found nothing to depict embarrassment, so made up the shifting between sadness and depression for it.

If I overstepped my bounds of how Auspex 2 works, I am open to being told so. This game and this discipline is new to me; any guidance on play will be much appreciated.

Thanks all.

No worries, Johann. In fact, since you got shifted to your own thread, none of the rest were impacted at all.

Say hello to Erick and Dante, as well.

Goat kindly offered
A cameo appearance
Here in Dark Ages

Just a walk-on part
Here in his World of Darkness
Yep, it's pretty dark...

Most of you know me
Having annoyed you elsewhere
Way too many times

Despite slight name change
I am still the same poet
You love -- or do not

Thanks for the guest shot
Back to my familiar haunts
While you have fun here

Welcome D(-r)PJ. I'm trying to envision an NPC for you, and so far I keep coming up with malkavians. No reason for a "normal" person to speak only in rhyme. (Also, probably not reasonable for anyone in medieval Europe to even know what a haiku is. Though, I guess there's no reason someone couldn't just "talk" like that and have it go over the heads of an entire continent.)

In other news, I've added yet still more disciplines to the list. Thanks again to Alina for transcribing those.

And in yet other news, we put an offer on another condo here, even better than the last one we tried to buy. The inspection was yesterday, and it all seems to be pretty solid. So hopefully, in about a month, I'll be taking some time off to move.

A Salubri who has been to "The Far East".

In KotE, they mentioned somewhere of a western gaijin who came to their lands, 3 eyes, they called him the Traitor "Zau-lot" long time ago.

But that ignores that the haiku, or it's earlier form before becoming "Haiku", weren't around until the 13th century or so. Even then it wasn't what we normally call a haiku.

Congratz DPJ, you may have just made history, as the originator of Haiku.

Isn't 1205 in the 13th century? ;)

Yes it is, I stand corrected, I thought we were in the 1100s. Thank you.

We're 5 years into the 13th century. It seems unlikely that a form of poetry invented in Japan, ALL THE WAY over on the other side of that whole Asia thing, would get back here this quickly.

Unless it started here, and went there later. And the Europeans were just to backwards to appreciate the nuanced beauty, while the Japanese took to it easily.

(Side note... in Japanese, they have a LOT more syllables per word, in general. So 5/7/5 is actually a REALLY compact style for them.)

I like Taduz' suggestion. To paraphrase Star Trek:
