just curious

I live in the tristate (ny, nj connecticut area). Just wondering if there are any other Watchers in this area.
The loudest truth I ever heard was the softest sound.

The phoogle map indicates that there are a few within a reasonable distance.

We once discussed that I'm up in the Newburgh/Middletown NY area.

lorin, set the number of Watchers shown from 20 to 400, then zoom in to your area. Put your cursor over the icons once you are zoomed in enough that you can make them out individually.
Usernames should then pop up.

Of course, it helps if the icons are located correctly on the phoogle.

Well, to be fair, placing yourself correctly on the Phoogle is kind of an art form. At one point, the closest I could get myself was in the dumpster in the parking lot in front of my old apartment. Plus it's way too easy to brush across it with the mouse pointer while you're on your profile page doing something else (not that I've ever done *that*, either...).

I am so not touching that proferred straight line...

It is one thing to have one's Phoogle location messed up. Yes, placement can be a challenge and it is easy to either get wrong or inadvertently change...but "East of the Sun and West of the Moon" has to be intentional.

Phoogle seems to have me several hours away from where I actually am. And I can't figure out how to move me.

I'm coming to the conclusion that to properly situate oneself on the Phoogle map, one must rent a teenager. That's the only way I got myself out of the dumpster. (And thank you, SD, for not picking up that straight line. )

(edited to fix a typo -- this is what I get for posting before I've had any coffee...)

Good I checked the phoogle map again. Continental drift had someohow swept me a few hundred miles east towards Mother Russia.

I changed it to 400 and even 800, but it doesn't show me. Only if I type in my name, does it show me. What is up with that?!

I'm a bit south of you Lorin. I live in Medford NJ...about 20 miles east of Philly. Of course, it being summer, I might as well be living down the shore! I think I'm pinpointed in Marlton on Phoogle.

Fist, go in to your profile here on the Watch. Scroll down to the phoogle shown there. When you place your cursor on the point on the phoogle in your profile, you should then be able to move it.

I'm finding you when I set the phoogle to 400 users, SG.
I have to scroll down the user list a bit to the Shu's.
But I see you.
