I'm playing World of Warcraft again. Well, running a ten day trial of Liche King. I am very tempted to port my lvl 62 Warlock and lvl 25 Druid (both Horde) to the Scryers server and to alliance.

Oh, Murrin, sorry about the Zeph joke.

Oh. Well that explains that.

I am pretty rude as far as responding to random whispers from strangers goes. I did wonder, when I finally noticed the name, but it could easily have been coincidence.

Grand Theft Gryphon.

That's one of the flight master's taxi gryphons, on my chopper, in EPL.

I don't think I'm insured for this. 8O

I know gryphon's are magical and all (with that weight and wingspan, we're talking way above 43 times per second), but... well, I hope they're better trained than horses. Forget the insurance. I'd be worried about that leather upholstery.

(nice pic ;))
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

he latest beta build brought the Hunter pet changes in.

Hunters can now bring almost all of the major raid buffs depending on which pet they choose:

- Heroism (BM only, Core Hound)
- Healing (BM only, Spirit Beast)
- PW: Fortitude (BM only, Silithid)
- 5% Critical Strike chance buff (Wolf/Dog/Devilsaur)
- Curse of Tongues (Sporebat/Core Hound)
- Thunderclap debuff (Tallstrider)
- Movement slow (Crocolisk/Warp Stalker/Chimera)
- Mortal Strike (BM only, Devilsaur)
- Root (Spider/Silithid)
- Interrupt (Moth)
- Sunder Armor (Raptor/Serpent)
- Bleed damage (Boar/Hyena)
- Curse of Elements (Dragonhawk/Wind Serpent)
- 4% Physical damage debuff (Ravager/Worm)
- Stun (Bat/Wasp)
- Demo Roar (Bear)
- Disarm (Scorpid)

So it looks like which pet Hunters bring will depend on if they need to fill a gap in the raid composition, much more than it does now (because current buff pets come with significant dps loss).

Every pet will have some kind of special ability, but not all of them are raid buffs. And almost all of them are just copies of class spells that won't be needed because you have a player who can do it, leaving the Hunter free to bring whatever they like. (The "almost" is because the rest of them are PvP type things that won't often be needed.)

The other end of this is that they removed all damaging attacks from the pets other than the basic bite/claw/smack. All pets will do the same dps.

(You're also didn't notice all the other pet types they missed out. :P)

Curious as to what spirit beast 'healing' is, and whether beast master will be a viable spec again... though I suppose every spec is being rebuilt from the ground up.

Hmm... kinda like Gift of the Naaru - useful in a pinch, but rarely used in raids. Too bad, I miss running with my spirit beast. Why'd they have to give heroism to core hounds? :?
