This probably belongs in Vespers, but it so SO good it deserves a wider audience!

If you use google chrome and have a half-decent pc, try this...

Great visuals, tailored to YOU, and Arcade Fire to boot!

(Make sure you type things in, or draw pictures, when it asks you to!)

You lost me at "Arcade Fire".

(Nevermind that I don't use Chrome, and designing websites that don't work in most browsers is a bad move no matter how good you think the one browser it works in is.)

Heh. Pretty cool. Definitely worth playing around with even though I couldn't use my street address (something about not enough map info available.) I really liked the postcard bit.

The sad thing is that I put in my address where I grew up and did even recognize where I spent the first 20 years of my life due to the landscape change post-Katrina.

Just to make sure that the software really worked, I put in my current address.

Some of the footage is a little dated as I still saw FEMA trailers around my childhood neighborhood.

Pretty cool, even though it said it didn't have enough info on my area.

Seems to depend on whether Google Earth have taken 3D pics of your area.

Might be a good thing if you can't access your street!

hee...I got Chrome today, just to see this.
It couldn't do my area, but it was fun for a nearby one...but I'm loving Chrome. It's way way faster than IE, or Firefox. [layout/function is taking some getting used to.]
