Hmmm. Every issue you present is #2, both literally and figuratively.
Well done.

I own "Tiger Man".
It came in a shrink wrapped 5 pack for 50 cents.
I bought it at the now gone Zayer's Department Store.
Even when I was 8 I thought it sucked.

Yep. I have several issues.
They aren't terrible but then again they don't feature very memorable stories or art.

I thought Neil Adams was pretty good.

i wonder who owns the characters now? with some revamping they could be salvaged. DC hasn't bought a company in awhile have they?

I like Atlas.
I bought them in the 70's (my pre-teen years)because they were cheap and sold in 3 packs at Zayres Dept store.
So to me they invoke fond childhood memories.
Plus I like that artwork style.
Small and somewhat messy.
I love Neil Adams too.
And, on a totally side note, I love the way women in those comics were drawn!
I think it kickstarted my damsel in distress fetish.
I still have that Tiger-Man one too!

You don't see many gay superheroes that are that out in the open like the Grim Ghost appears to be.

I see two mistakes. One, the year 1700 is the final year of the 17th century, not the 18th (I'm assuming that's Keith Everet is riding to his death in that scene). Two, he was going to ask Deborah Wallace to be his beard, not bride. Clearly this comic was printed before the Comics Code Authority was established!

part of DC past - not as bad as the Brown Bomber - but still bad,,,
Outwardly resembling nearly every stereotype of a gay man, Extraño initially wore loose colorful garments and has a lively, jovial attitude. He refers to himself as "Auntie" and usually imparts parent-like advice to his teammates.

I think you're confused. That's not a gay character , that's a gay artist .

OH! CRAP!
My avatar is only half done! An Elf Portrait!
I'm glad I saw that comic above...
Reading all the new comics I've been getting recently
put me right in the mood to doing pencil and sketch pad drawings - and win.paint & photoplus.
Note to self: more color!!!
ATLAS COMICS ARE REALLY FAR OUT...must hunt some down real soon.
