I love this Band... I've been a fan ever since I was a little kid... Does anyone else like them?

Back in the day, my band used to cover One Way, which was nice. I haven't really heard much more of their stuff though, they weren't popular with us Manics fans back then.
Q. Why do Communists drink herbal tea?
A. Because proper tea is theft.

Yes, I agree, Exodus is excellent; slower than the other ones, but no less genius. 8)

Because Nicky Wire told us to. The Manics saw themselves as very much working class, and associated the whole 'crusty' movement with middle-class teenagers. I think he saw the Levellers as something of a figurehead, and did his usual badmouthing in the music press. Something about half the people at a Levellers gig would be called Jeremy, or some other supposedly middle-class name.

The Manics had a lot of sway back then, and a lot of people bought into many of the things they said, myself included. As a result I never really expanded my record collection in that direction, although I do remember quite enjoying Zeitgeist.

Belaruse no longer feels the sun
But it's under the skin of everyone
Belaruse forgotten by the blind
That is until the next time
Remember all your yesterdays
In the deep blue
Before the world came
And rested there on you
And if the sun and moon
Were both to doubt
Sure enough they'd both go out
When you can't walk in your field
Feel water in your hands
You've been touched by the doubt of man
Remember all your yesterdays
In the deep blue
Before the world came
And rested there on you
Remember all your yesterdays
In the deep blue
Before the world came
And rested there on you
Lyrics to Belaruse. :P 8)

I myself was always a big Manics fan, although I don't know if that has anything to do with the fact that I have never listened to the Levellers. Then again...
The reality is in this head. Mine. I'm the projector at the planetarium, all the closed little universe visible in the circle of that stage is coming out of my mouth, eyes, and sometimes other orifices also.

I don't care for the Manics at all... rubbish imo... *shrug* but that's my opinion, they make good music, just not to my liking.

Levellers Rule...

Emma, I'll have to send you a couple of songs on msn. :) (When I get my computer fixed* :?
