Gazing into Cyberspace (Poem)

Post by Dani »

This was written with much giggling and laughing at my computer... :haha:

GAZING INTO CYBERSPACE

She gazes into cyberspace this lonely day
looking for her cyber-friend to come and play
but her manly companion is not to be seen
what on earth could this tragedy possibly mean?
has he found another eloquent maiden fair?
with eyes of fire and much cleavage to spare?
is he just in another part of cyberspace?
maybe busily playing his computer games?
more likely he is gone, having retired to bed
after long hours of carousing, he’s finally dead
too weary to wait any longer for
the frisky maiden to return here once more
so the maiden is faced with a great riddle to answer
where to find someone who will really appreciate her?
then something occurs to her very brilliant brain
she should quit toying with men’s emotions and being vain
she could use her talent for good, not cheap thrills
by putting words to her stories with mighty linguistic skills
to entertain the masses instead of just one or two
who only want her for a good time, nothing of virtue
the eloquent maiden sets out on this new quest
she is determined to do her very, very best
to give to the cyber-world characters to love and abhor
with stories and adventures and some new cyber-lore
her vision is great and her talent is grand
the excited maiden now has it all in hand

Now that was a very insightful musing. A scenerio that probably plays out thousands of times every evening. Your resolution is brilliant. :-) Let's have some more, Dani.

A name for maidens who lose their heads wrapped up in cyber-lore? I would call it typical, normal, and unfortunately, all too real :?

Thanks, Tom C. :D I will endeavor to acquiesce to your oh-so-kind request ;)
