The Event

Post by Kil Tyme »

I've been looking forward to this show since I first heard about it a few months ago. Advertises itself as a global-conspiracy that effects all of mankind with shades of Lost and 24. Pilot was last night; slow start for me; interesting cliffhanger, but I had read about that before. No characters grabbed me right away like Lost or 24 had. So far it reminds me of how much I was looking forward to FlashForward only to be disappointed. But then again, there has only been one episode aired. ;)
Cowboy: Why you doin' this, Doc?
Doc Holliday: Because Wyatt Earp is my friend.
Cowboy: Friend? Hell, I got lots of friends.
Doc Holliday: ... I don't.

I gave it a chance. I might give it more of a chance. There was one scene that I thought was pretty shocking. Logic tells me that the pilot episode was their best shot, and the rest will probably be downhill.

I watched this show... "3 days ago"

... and thought it was... "2 hours ago"

... interesting. It was a little... "1 week ago"

... hard to follow at times. Maybe... "5 days ago"

... it was all the flashbacks. Don't really know...

Still the ending was pretty wild. Will be interesting to see where that heads. Just hope they lay off the flashbacks.

I thought Jason Ritter did a pretty good job in the episodes I've seen so far.
