Mod Wanted

Post by kevinswatch »

Just like the other forums. Mod wanted for General Fantasy/Sci-Fi. Mod expected to post topics of interest/clean up unnessisary posts/keep things in order/ect. Mainly just make sure people are only posting General Questions/Announcement and Suggestion type posts here. Post your interest and then everyone can vote for who they think should get the position. Favor goes to people who are not yet Mods. Let me know if there are any problems, heh. But yeah, good luck to all.-jay

Hey this looks like a good entry level Mod posistion, Not a lot of constant new topics , high traffic ,low posting.

I would like to be a nominee for this one.
Yes I guess we can all just get along !

Smurfy, simply Smurfy !!!

I wouldn't mind getting a mod job somewhere, to give me something to do with my time. I know the functions of phpBB well (though I've never modded before - I just picked up stuff webbying and adminning), although i must admit I never start new topics....

Thank you for the kind words Darth and Vile (or should I call you Ur?!). With me and the wife's new baby probably mere hours away I'm not sure if I would have the time to do proper justice to the position. On the other hand, maybe it would give me something to do on those evenings when I'm up in the wee hours of the night trying to get the little guy to sleep.
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. Thanks Darth. I'll be sure to keep you all updated as things progress. We may have a brand new Haruchai within the next day or two. :)

Congratulations, Brinn! I hope it's safe birth, and a healthy baby.

THE BABY IS COMING!!!!

Congratulations to Brinn and Mrs. Brinn!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D

Here's a piece of advice you're guaranteed not to take: SLEEP AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE while you're in the hospital and there are nurses to take care of the baby. BOTH of you! You won't, of course. You'll be excited and euphoric and awestruck and you'll want to be awake for it. But do try to sleep a little.......you're only going to get four hours in the next two months. ;) ;)

Oooooohhh, I'm so excited for you guys!! :D :D ;) There's nothing in the world like holding your baby for the first time! You can feel yourself becoming someone you never knew you could be, as that tiny gnome-faced little sleeping thing somehow teaches you a whole new definition of love.....

Am I gushing yet? ;)

Sorry, I just think that babies are as close as mortal eyes can come to beholding the face of God. ;)

Anyway, get some sleep, post lots of pictures, and ENJOY EVERY MINUTE!! :D

Ummm.... FMT, didn't the guy just say he wouldn't have time?

Heck I'd take the job if it meant I got my Long Fiction Forum. (Sorry, OUR Long Fiction Forum) But if I had to vote, it would be..............

............Tom C! No wait, Ur-Vile! Or maybe BnB.

shucks, I don't know.

Maybe Brinn. ;)

Bird would make such the greatest mod for this forum. Such the greatest!

8O *Gasp*
I'm nominated! I feel so honored! ;)

Thanks guys! :D I'll gladly accept the nomination for this forum, since I read just about everything that's posted here, but....

Okay.....I wasn't sure whether to put this here or start a new thread, but the title of this one is Mod Wanted, so I guess I'll just say it here....

I'd like to offer my co-mod position with Duchess in the Hall of Gifts up for nominations as well, if anyone would be interested. It's not that I don't want
it, or that I don't like working with Duchess ( 8O 8O ;) ) it's just that I often don't have time to read what's posted there. And I feel terrible about that!
   I try to keep up, but I'd have to say I haven't read at least 75% of what's in this forum I'm supposed to help mod....and I feel that
the people who post in there work so hard on the things they've written, they deserve to have a mod who will at least read it.

Guilt Guilt Guilt :(

Anyway, I'd love to mod in here, or somewhere else that I keep up with better, I just feel unfit for the job in the HoG.

And I apologise to all of you who I've neglected my duties towards.

Oh man, I'm sorry guys! I don't know what I did, but I somehow stretched the page .....

I tried to fix it, but the best I could do was to edit my post so it all showed up in the same area.....

Sorry! :(

Don't worry, Bird. It was Baradakas and his dots.
