I meant, who would compare as classically typecast monsters?
Klaus Kinski was great in Werner Herzog's Nasferatu.
I loved Shadow of the vampire and Mary Shelly's frankenstien too.
As for Gary Oldman's Dracula... no. It sucked... hard!

Well, DeNiro can certainly play a monster when he wants to like the deliciously slick Louis Cypher in Angelheart, the Frankenstien monster and of course the unforgettable Max Cady in Cape Fear. Speaking of Angelheart Micky Rourke could be considered as moving in that direction as well, since his boxing/steriods/plastic surgery bout he's played sympathetic monsters such as Marv in Sin City, his role in The Wrestler and as Whiplash in Iron Man II. Then there's always Ron Pearlman...

Arguably the best quote ever about Lance Henriksen....
"I would love to be related to Lance Henriksen. I imagine you spend most of your days fighting aliens, and then you're a vampire at night."

You mean a movie with both Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves wasn't good? I kid as I do have a soft spot for that movie, but it is almost all based on Gary Oldman hamming it up.Lord Zombiac wrote:As for Gary Oldman's Dracula... no. It sucked... hard!
