Damn....don't tease like that. ::sigh::

But yeah, if we do donate to the cause, rather than our name, can we request a different tattoo? Also, if we get corporate sponsorship, would you tattoo their company logo?
Sorry about that <sigh>. But it'll all be better once Lore finishes buying his *and* my ticket today. <double sigh>

I'll do any tatt for the right amount of money...and as for corporate sponsorship: if they gimme at least $20K so I can have a really cool holiday then, yep, a logo anywhere of their choosing!!

How much is a ticket? Maybe you could set up a paypal donation site and collect $20 each from a bunch of us....I mean, that's a lot of small tattoos, but still....

It's about 1500 return into SF (which is super-cheap considering I paid $2700 when I flew last time!!!!) but it is with Qantas and if you're Australian you know they're an accident waiting to happen!

but, yeah...I'm happy to get a whole bunch of tatts (maybe each contributors name)...but in Sanskrit or something so at least it looks funky! ;) Then again, Waddles likes tatts. Give me the money and her the tatts (although you'll have to fly her to albuquerque, of course, so you can see proof she got the tatts as promised! ;).

Hey, Waddles! Problem solved!! :D

Hey all, I just purchased my ticket. I will be arriving in Abuquerque on the 9th, at 6.33pm. Leaving on the 17th.

Ok, I am in for E3. I'm not so sure SRD would be all that thrilled with a live streaming show but I am reasonably confidant from past experiences of filming him, that he will trust me to film and edit the footage appropriately to post to the watch after the fest is over. After all, he did consent and even volunteer to be filmed in bed with two naked women for two separate Q&A sessions and then again as a character actor in an action sequence in which he portrayed Drool Rockworm. :D I'm going to put in for the time off tomorrow and then make my travel arrangements when I get my tax return in a few weeks.

Sea, is that dollar figure in US or AU? Do you need to have tix by any specific time for any travel visa junk? Some countries require that and I am totally ignorant of AU's rules and regulations. I wonder if it's possible to set you up with a paypal style account and we solicit donations to be sent there and you keep track and if we don't make the amount in time it can all get refunded to the donors. Do you think we could make something like that work? Any input from anyone would be helpful on this.

In all seriousness, I would be happy to donate money for Sea to fly over.

I've successfully fundraised for a couple of fests for watchers and I don't see why we couldn't do it again.

awh...you guys are lovely! *Thank you, Jenn* and thank you Lore.

I've kinda been resigned to the fact I won't be able to come for a couple of months now (and I hope you know me well enough, Lore, to know that all the stuff in the last week was meant in a good humored way!). To be honest, I deluded myself thinking for quite some time that I'd somehow make it. But it's just that, a delusion!

I know I'm in an enviable position (at least from the pov of some people here). I should be thankful for that. However, in all honesty, I kinda crave the validation of "being there"...if you know what I mean. I haven't been to an Elohimfest. I know we did Seafest (one of the most wonderful, brilliant times of my life!!!!...I love you Cyn! and everyone else who shared that experience with me...*thank you*) but it's not the same as being there for one of these fests. I want to do that. I desperately want to be part of it!

I kinda sit here on the other side of the planet and do what I do. I thank the gods and whatever else for how fortunate I am...but, I'm human:I crave a degree of validation for the work that I do. I wanna be a Romeo. I wanna be a Jenn. :)

But "dems the rubs" as we say here (and probably other places as well).

If it were meant to be, it would happen. But I've dealt with it already coz I had to. As I said to SoS just today, when he was upset about having to cut out things while others in his class got to colour in: "life's like that. You don't always get to do what you want to do."

Again: thank you Jenn and Lore...and everyone else. :)

Gimme a call, eh, sometime during your couple of days....

You're being tough on yourself. Knowing a bit about you, there'd be plenty of people here who would want to be a Sea. :)

I'm leaning toward driving out in June. I haven't taken a full couple of weeks off since the first Elohimfest.

You can't be a Romeo or a Jenn, you're a Sea! And a damn good one at that!

I used to envy you and Romeo, but when talking to Romeo about it.. I'm not so sure anymore :P

Yeah, Sea, it just might. Would you be able to come if there was honestly money raised for this?

I'll check into corporate sponsorship from my company. Your body could be the first franchise of Einstein Bros. Bagels in Australia.

He joined us at WFC last fall.

In fact, I dunno why the guy wants to come to E-fest. He's already met SRD and had his copy of AATE signed. Just kidding, Orlion!
