The awards on my wall have been won in Amtgard. One was given to me by a queen, and one (which gave me the title of "Lord") was given by a king.
The one I am most proud of was a local award-- the order of the warrior.
I had to win three consecutive events in a tournament to get this. I won four: shortsword, sword and shield, pole arm, and greatsword.
Some people win many warriors and go on to become warlords or sword knights-- 16 year old kids who fight and train constantly.
The fact that I began competing at the age of 38, and never seriously trained as a fighter proves I'm a badass!

Actually, what i'm curious about is how often you wear your bare chest and leather vest in public?

And, in case I make the 'fest, I'm thinking maybe I should bring my swords...just in case...I mean...I didn't feel the need for self-defense the only other time I was in NM...but those pics make me feel a little wary.

Seriously, if you took a bath you might pass for Lord Trevor Loerya-mate. It's going to take more than that to freak Watchers, we've seen it all bubba...as long as you don't win the stupid or obnoxious award we'll have a great time. I think everyone would jump you if you tried sparring with SRD. Yo mo Hairychai bro-out :P
