...was just published. The Annotated Carmilla takes the text of the classic 1872 novel and explains all the references in (some might say excruciating) detail. For example--where is this place, Styria, where the story takes place? Is it real? (Yes) When does it take place? (Almost certainly between 1935 and 1846) What does the name 'Karnstein' mean? (There are two possible meanings--involving either a "cairn" or involving meat) And so on...

We've got a whole bunch of authors around here these days. It's getting to the point where we could have our own mass autographing session at the next Elohimfest. :lol: Wouldn't that be cool, tho?
