Buffering problems with Youtube?

I've noticed recently that every time I try to watch a video on YouTube, it has to buffer every eight seconds. This is really annoying, and I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.

i am having the same problem. have reset trying to fix it. thought i might have to update my media player.

I've had the problem intermitently over the years. I'm no computer wizard and so have never really tried as such to 'fix it' other than in the most general way by debugging and defragging etc. For what it's worth the problem seems to sort itself out in the end and i've always assumed from this it was as much a slow broadband thing as anything else (or some other cause external to the computer). I'm probably way adrift on this though and I will await with interest any other comments that are made on the subject. One things for sure - it's a pain in the arse when it happens

Other than stop the video and let it load for ten minutes if it's a video I really want to see; I don't do much of anything about it. It's a sporadic, unpredictable problem. I can watch five videos with no problem, then nothing but trouble.
