Darkwood--Into the blackness....

That's nice, Kali. If we're going to try to actually solve the puzzle the way it's supposed to be done, those will come in handy. Now, if we want to bypass it...
1. I have a +22 UMD, with the ability to take 10 on UMD checks. This could very well convince the spell that the trigger condition is not happening.
2. Led can use Disable Device with his tools to temporarily deactivate it.
3. Sigrid could use Dispel Magic on it, which may also suppress it.
4. Or the brute force method. I stand back and blast the wall around the door until it falls down, useless. Infinite blasts, from 250' away, average 16 points of damae per hit... 3 minutes with no danger, except noise.

I have 18 INT and detect magic (but I doubt I'd get more than Vyn did if I took a look at it)
I sort of like the "stand back and blast it" idea if no one is going to try to solve it or disable it, and honestly, I don't really relish the thought of Man In The Sky throwing something horrible and undead at us (Vyn said Necromancy) if we somehow mess it up....thaaaat being said, is there any chance of, oh, I don't know, like a treasure hoard if we beat the puzzle?

(ooc: Yeah, see if I do anything besides just hit monsters from now on. Every single time I've tried to do anything that isn't "Anna hits the monster with her stick" I get fried. *sigh*)
Anna shudders with cold, teeth chattering. She manages to cough out "Well, that went well. Ever so glad I helped."
[ooc again: I had a CMW, but it has somehow disappeared from my character sheet, and I don't think I've used it. If the DM agrees that I still have it -- I really do think I do -- I'll use that instead of using up what little our healers have left.]
[ an echoing, booming voice
CONCUR!!]

Anna's shivers subside as the healing takes effect. She decides to see if she can get a little extra sympathy from the lovely healer "That's much better, but could you check and make sure I'm completely healed?" And makes her best pathetic expression, and throws a pitiful cough in for effect.
[ooc to Trina: True, I did get frostied not fried, but it's better than being bited by a snakey which is what happened last time. No likey the snakeys.]
