That I can understand, Jaz. But how long has it been since you honestly had a little "me time" trip? One where you will be with friends who want to embrace you and allow you to let your hair down and return to your two guys refreshed and rejuvenated, ready to support them as you always do, but with a lightened heart and eased stress level?JazFusion wrote:I feel guilty for even thinking of leaving the both of them anyways.

What Menolly said re maternal guilt. Baby Batty would cry whenever I turned on the shower (she slept in the next room). I mentioned it to my sister-in-law, who had two kids. "What can I do? I can't even take a shower!" I said. And she said, sort of half joking, "Turn up the water?"
I thought it was kind of horrible at the time, but after I had my second kid, I totally understood.
Anyway, you could think of it as male bonding time for your son and his dad....

it will be coming with us. i have an acoustic, a broken electric, a working electric and a casio keyboard. none of which i play all that well.Savor Dam wrote:Sarge, if there is room in the car and Julie does not have some objection (domestic harmony first, always!), bring the guitar. With thirty + Watchers on hand, there is almost no downside to having it available.

the acoustic belonged to julie's father. i will be breaking it out this week to see ho wout of tune it is.

Bring guitars, bring lots. and yes, Lucimay will be REQUIRED by me to sing. I LOVE LOVE LOVE her voice and style, it's deep with great range and sultry and husky and divine. She is off the hook amazing and her guitar ain't bad neither.

I'll be staying until the 17th of June, leaving at 6am. I'd like to see some of the area, such as the Grand Canyon.Damelon wrote:How long are you going to be in the States, Lore?

would love to attend Elohimfest
Hello all. Would love to attend Elohimfest, as I live 3 hours away. Can anyone please tell me the time and address to be? As I'm unable to afford a hotel, I'll be driving back afterwards and need to plan times. Thank you.

If she withdrew from exaltation, she would be forced to think- And every thought led to fear and contradictions; to dilemmas for which she was unprepared.

Right IO, if you want to come earlier, like Sat afternoon to the High Tea, or stop in at my house before hand PM me for my # and address. Or simply show up at The Cooperage at 6 and join us, if you want to stay and party with us afterwords you can always bring a sleeping bag and crash on my one of my couches, or the floor...or, you can start the long drive back at 9---or whatever.

fall far and well Pilots!

So, I'm double posting here to let you know that I just commissioned the plaque and it should be done within 7-10 days--it'll be black with a silvery cracked background and the outline and lettering will be the same gold as the LFB one (that's the way they have to do it). The title type will be the exact same type as on the paperback version of The Real Story (and the Gap Cycle ppb titles are in gold anyway, so.....
)
To E-fest vets, friends and others who may have my old cell #---that is NOT a good one-PM me for my new cell, please (landline is still the same).

The plaque sounds wonderful!
lurch, I hope you haven't stocked up on extra Depends yet.
I spoke to my friend last night. Turns out she's planning to drive to Albuquerque and pick me up Sunday, and then we'll head for the Grand Canyon.
Can't wait for this trip!

I must send my regrets as I will not be able to make it after all. Danlo, you can take my name off the list. Something about too many plates in the air.
I had planned to drive in (2 days each way), get there Friday afternoon and stay a few extra days past the 'Fest to visit Taos and Santa Fe, but turns out I really don't have the time to spare due to other commitments. Not even if I chop out the Taos/Santa Fe leg. Sounds like a great time will be had by all. Sorry I'm gonna miss meeting SRD and everybody from the Watch. I expect drinking stories...
