Caggie and I got a nice close-up in Raton, where a fire was burning right next to the interstate. We had to take a two-hour detour around that one.Cameraman Jenn wrote:Can you guys all see the creepy haze of Kevin's Dirt, also known as the ash from the Arizona wildfires? It's pretty intense. When we got out of the SRD dinner, Bossk asked me what that smell was and I told him the ash and he was mortified.... sadly he had been breathing it for a day or so. It seems to settle in worse at night like the SF fog belt.

Excellent pictures, Jenn!
So many memories... 'distilled chicken', a German Unfettered, getting kicked in the chest several times by Grace (don't worry, it was part of the game :^P), making fun of Lore for being an Ozzy...(surprised he never bit my head off), watching Cag collect a rainbow on Central Ave....and much, much more

I don't have that many pics. Miss Grace got hold of my camera and took 1050 pics
and I forgot the cable to download them. But between Gracie and I we got a few goodies.

Stained glass in a church in Santa Fe

more church (I was afraid lightening would strike when I went in)

and more

Loremaster in church

Some of the plaza in Santa Fe

Jimez

Scott Brick and I

Gracie's new pedicure

Gracie's fanclub.....taken by Miss Grace

Another Grace masterpiece. She seemed fixated on Orlion

I think she did a good job on this one

Sarge... LUCI? LUCI? Damelon took the pics of all of us in the river but I took the rest of the cutie pics of you guys that I posted. I only posted from the pics that were in my camera with the exception of the nymph frolic taken by Creator and specific requests. I have yet to see Lucimay's pics but I am sure they are off the hook fabulous. She has an amazing eye for photo ops.

Sea, so wish you could have been there, especially when SRD opened with a speech about how amazing you are and thanking you. Can't wait to see the video.

I've heard about this speech (thanx Cyn for texting me to let me know) but have no idea what was said so I certainly can't wait to see the video. As long as he didn't talk about "lack of timeliness" I'll be happy.Cameraman Jenn wrote:Sea, so wish you could have been there, especially when SRD opened with a speech about how amazing you are and thanking you. What a great weekend! I'm home, and now that I've had a good night's sleep I can try to make a coherent post.
On the train back, I think sad would be too strong a word for what I was feeling, for there was a lot of smiles thinking back. Wistful comes closer to how I felt and feel. Looking at a bank of clouds and thinking that that would be a great picture for lurch, thinking about one of Lore's or Sarges quips, Wadds joie de vivre, etc...
I have to give a shout out to Danlo and Lady Tam and Elora Grace. Every few years, people descend from all over and converge on their home on this strange quest to meet an author. They happily take everyone in, and make them feel welcome. Without them, Elohimfest would not be the success that it is. They are wonderful!

There's a Rigel spotting. I was just thinking I miss Rigel. We had a discussion at lunch on the Andelain trip about how you should have said screw it and just changed your flight and come with.
