I would have really enjoyed meeting you in 3D and look forward to meeting you at the next 'fest (or maybe sooner  )
I'd love it to be sooner, but amassing enough to get me a decent trip to America is going to be tough enough even over the next three years. Supermarkets do not pay well. :(

If I was a rich rock star I'd buy you a ticket, but then again I'd have probably been a jerk. You never know... I keep saying I'll play the lottery.

Keep in mind that maybe in three years time you'll be taking the Religious Studies with an emphases on Bhuddism program at Naropa University in Boulder, CO. If so, hopefully you can use some financial aid to fund 'fest.

Aww, I miss you too, Jenn. But at least we're on the same coast :)

There are some great photos here, sorry LZ about you almost missing them and yeah, not too shabby for out the window of a moving vehicle for that colossus shot. :P I always page back to the last thing I posted when I post in a thread that I frequent so that I make sure I don't miss anything.

Ok, so some fave funny moments from the fest. Bossk and Cagliostro arrived and met Lady Tam for the first time. Bossk was showing her all the pictures he took of mini-cag in Denver and was acting like a total proud parent. To the extent that Lady Tam thought that he and Cag were a gay couple. She was shocked to find out that they were married to other people not each other and that those other people were women...

I went through three boyfriends over the fest, mistaken by waitresses as being with Danlo, Jonnyredleader and Orlion. Danlo quickly corrected the waitress (unlike how I corrected the hotel guy in Denver claiming both CovJr and Danlo as my husbands), I said yes to the waitress about Jon and later Orlion said yes and even paid for my lunch. He's so sweet!

A great moment between Jonnyredleader and myself was during the SRD dinner, I had gotten up from the table and set my napkin down. When I came back to sit my napkin was all the way over next to Jon's plate so I picked it up and then thought, "what if that is not my napkin?" so my instinct was to look at his lap to see if he still had his and I realized afterwards from the confused/mortified/"what the hell are you doing checking out my package at a time like this" look on his face, that it could be terribly misconstrued which prompted me to burst into hysterical laughter.

On sad notes, I never got to hug Rigel or Lurch goodbye. I guess that just means extra hugs next fest. And there will be hugs, oh yes, there will be hugs. When Scott was making his exit he went to shake hands and I said, "Oh no, I'm a hugger." He said, "Even better" and gave me a big warm squeeze. I love hugs.

OH, and Rigel, as you can see from the pics after the dinner, no problem with the camera. You have sucessfully escaped the label of "the watcher who broke Cameraman Jenn's camera at efest 3."

The story is this, We were moving tables and such back to set up for the question portion of the evening and I turned just in time to see Rigel move the table and my camera falling to the floor. I must have made a horrible noise and I know my expression was probably memorably horrified because everyone saw it including SRD. Rigel was so upset and I feel terrible about that because I just reacted. I seriously overreacted because it's just an object and so much less important than Rigel and his feelings that I feel like my reaction made me a jerk. Rigel, I seriously am sorry I made you feel bad for one second. He was so sweet and concerned and insistent on replacing it if it was broken but no harm done.

Lore, why are you so serious about washing your face?

Lurch, I too showed some co-workers some pics from the fest and they said it looked like we had a blast. I didn't explain to them about the forum thing though. I just explained it as about thirty of my friends gathering from all over the country and some from out of the country to have fun and celebrate a private event. I kinda tend to keep my private life out of work and only recently told one co-worker about FBH and my alternate persona of Cameraman Jenn.

Allright, I'll stop talking and look at more pics to post....

My photos from the 'Fest.

Unfortunately, the camera on my phone is crap, so a lot of the pics I took didn't turn out :(

Even so, I'm glad to have gotten the few I did :)

And Jenn, I'm sorry I didn't get to hug you goodbye either... I'm a hug person too, but too often I feel like people don't like to get that close :( But you're one of the most beautiful people I've ever met, and I'll make sure to see you again sometime :)

Way too sweet, you get mega extra snuggy teary eyed so glad to see you extended hugs when next we meet. And trust me ladies, that's all for MY benefit cuz Rigel is hawt Hawt HAWT!!!! Damn, haven't said that in awhile.

Seriously though, it's true. And I'll not out anyone but there was girl talk about this very subject of which I participated. :P He's beautiful inside and out. We are only human after all and I say, give me the eye candy and I'll gladly savor it... Uh oh... I'm starting to sound like me when I first joined erm or exploded on the watch. Oh well, toning it down when made a mod never did sit well with me anyway....

I just want to say for the record that Bob Vardeman is an amazing man. I love him. He's so funny and smart and charming and wonderful and such a sport for doing this so many years in a row. There was a moment in which he and Steve reminded me of my friendship with Julie and Heatherly, he was glad to do this but Steve was ribbing him and said, "How did you get roped into doing this again?" and his response was to indicate me with a head nod and say, "women." Too funny.

Well, Caggie and I have known each other since we were in elementary school, so I think it's fair to say we've been committed life partners in a way. I had only met mini-Cag for the first time the day before, so there probably was an extra edge of excitement in my voice. And it WAS gay pride week in Albuquerque. I also liked Luci's explanation that it was "because you're both so CUTE!!!"

Everyone come to Boston! WE HAVE BEER!

So I'll just go ahead and throw this out there, and let everyone start saving their pennies.....who's up for a mini-fest in Summer 2011? Boston wouldn't be a bad place.
Works for me. Maybe I can make Cag fly out here and I'll drive up from Charlottesville, picking up passengers along the way.

Of course, I have to find enough work to replace the job I lost just before this 'Fest first, but I have 360-odd days to pull that off. Piece of aliantha-cake.
That'd be lovely, although I wonder about the feasibility of this with the new kid on the way. At least this was booked I think before we knew Carla was preggers.

So, to whom do I send this copy of the Dictionary of the Khazars? Luci? And who left a pair of sunglasses?

(I can't even begin to tell you how much fun Lady Tam and I had with everyone)
I'll be checking in with Mike on Friday on the status of the video,

Art Car parade is awesome in Houston-- been to two. This was my first gay pride parade, I have been having trouble uploading photos to photobucket. Planning on posting them... love those leather boys!
