Sorus, I know the feeling. All my crap is in boxes and I'm sleeping on the couch at BGB's house. It's cool and all but I am really starting to want my own space with my own things and it's nothing against him. It's just me. I want to be alone for a while.
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

OH NO, I can be reclusive. I go through phases. It's part of why I am single. When I go into reclusive mode the guy I am dating thinks it means I am breaking up with him and tries to be more clingy and it's the polar opposite of what I want and it turns bad. Sometimes I just like to be alone. It's that simple. In fact I like going to restaurants alone and just reading or going to the beach to just sit and contemplate things and be alone with nature in all it's beauty. In a way it's not really like being alone for me, it's just being with the non human things I love so I am still interacting, just not in human society. Does that make sense?

I'll be about 10 miles closer to SF... does that help? :D

everyone needs some sort of separation time. their own thing. julie hasx her stuff and i have mine. and some stuff that coincides down the middle. i grew up very apart from family, with books (comic books too) and julie is cool enough to not force herself into that. she reads some of them but does not discourage the hobby like some are known to do.

It makes so much sense I shake my head at how someone couldn't understand that. Silly guys.

Sorus, reading the post about your boss being uncooperative about the time needed for your move made me think of this great put-down from Memories of Ice that I read yesterday. "Does your God truly know how small your brain really is?"

I hope you get through your move ok.

 Enjoy the concert!

My best to everybody who's moving soon. Moving sucks big-time. We're still in the process of reorganizing the space here, now that Magickmaker is home. I would like to get it all sorted before Batty and Shara_Lunison descend on us tomorrow night, but that's probably a pipe dream. <sigh>

And Rigel, I totally feel your pain. Three vacations in a month have really tapped me out. This forced frugality thing stinks. :( And the car insurance is due next week, urk.

the state of texas, criminal justice department also has a trouble with priority. as in they seem to think they come first in my life. i have often had to disabuse them of this notion. as when i missed a hurricane at the prison to be with my wife and dog.

they threatened to write me up - i told them they did fine without me. it was ugly but i prevailed. but with our economy in a downturn i would lose that battle now.

It's rough. I'm a very private person, and really can't stand living with roommates, so it came down to either leaving the city or moving into this closet... Gah. I am tired of spending all my money on rent and basically feeling like I am failing at life. :hithead:

So the audition went very well. I think I more than impressed them, especially with "Before He Cheats" by Carrie Underwood. I also got them to bust out the Zep and Pink Floyd. :D

We're revising the set list, so I'm sending them the longest list ever. They are going to end up hating me.

Thanks, Sarge. I don't know what I would do without the Watch.

They're gonna love you, Jaz. What Zep are you doing?

I'm kinda pissed off Sorus, because I was promised a job back in SF when one came open and it did and they have imported someone else. Last year I gave 780 hours of my personal time to commuting. Not a happy camper.

Yeah, once they've got you where they want you they're really good at forgetting promises. Which is why I would never consider moving up, which is why I am broke and being forced to move and losing everything... sometimes, ya just can't win. But I know exactly how you feel - I was commuting 6-7 hours a day before this, so I keep telling myself that it could be worse, but that seems pretty hollow sometimes. Anyway, I am up way too late and probably not making much sense. Good night.

Nobody cares anymore. I commute at the very least 2 hours a day for $9 an hour; and my work can only give me 20 hours a week. Now I'm losing a client and my hours are dropping to 14 hours. And there's no guarantee I'll be able to pick up a new client anytime soon. The 20 hours barely effing paid for my gas! And they don't even bat an eye.

Ugh. Sorry. Didn't mean to make that rant about me. I just know how you feel. Work is awful. :(

For now, just Rock 'N Roll. I really, really want to do Babe I'm Gonna Leave You. I'd love to do just a classic rock cover band, but they want modern stuff, too. We did a pretty good Comfortably Numb, and apparently that's the drummer's favorite song to play, so I'm happy with that.

Oh, and I totally put the bug in their ear for I Want You (She's So Heavy) by The Beatles and I'm SUPER excited about that.

Sarge: I'm trying to get some friends to take some video if/when we get some gigs going. I promise to upload them to youtube. :)

Seriously, though. This list is monstrous. I can't stop adding to it.
